Biography :
The Black Dahlia Murder is an
American heavy metal band from Waterford, Michigan, formed in 2000. Their name is derived from the 1947 unsolved murder of Elizabeth Short, often referred to as Black Dahlia. The band comprises vocalist Trevor Strnad, guitarists Brian Eschbach and Ryan Knight, bassist Ryan "Bart" Williams and drummer Shannon Lucas. Out of their five studio albums, the latest four of them charted on the US Billboard 200, with 2009's Deflorate peaking at #43 and their latest album Ritual reaching #31.
History :
Formation, Unhallowed and Miasma (2001–2006)
The Black Dahlia Murder began its inception during late 2000 and gained the final band line-up in January 2001. The group released their demo entitled What a Horrible Night to Have a Curse, and a four-track EP, A Cold-Blooded Epitaph, the latter of which the group released on Lovelost Records. After appearing in concerts such as the Milwaukee Metal Fest, The Black Dahlia Murder signed to Metal Blade Records in 2003.
Current bassist Ryan "Bart" Williams left his former band, Detroit's Today I Wait, to tour with the Black Dahlia Murder. After touring with the band on their co-headlining gig with Throwdown and their European dates with Liar, he joined the group full-time, replacing former bassist David Lock. Frontman Trevor Strnad said that Lock was fired for incompetency. Williams was one of two engineers (the other being Walls of Jericho's Mike Hasty) on the band's first full-length album, Unhallowed.
The band's second album Miasma was released on July 12, 2005 and peaked at #118 on the Billboard 200. After touring for Miasma, drummer Zach Gibson left the band along with Pierre Langlois. While Gibson went on to join Abigail Williams, Langlois left the band for a more secure lifestyle, and the band finished their search for a replacement drummer when they found former All That Remains drummer, Shannon Lucas. The group played at Ozzfest 2005.
Nocturnal and Deflorate (2006–2010)
Their third album, entitled Nocturnal, was released on September 18, 2007. The album debuted at #72 on the Billboard 200. The Black Dahlia Murder announced via their MySpace profile that they were going on a U.S. tour with Cannibal Corpse to promote their new album Nocturnal and celebrate the 25 years that Metal Blade Records had been in business. They were joined by label-mates The Red Chord, Aeon, The Absence, and Goatwhore.
In January/February 2008, the band embarked on a U.S. headlining tour with 3 Inches of Blood, Hate Eternal, and Decrepit Birth, followed by another alongside Brain Drill and Animosity. They were on Hot Topic's "Summer Slaughter Tour" with Kataklysm, Cryptopsy, Vader, Whitechapel, and Despised Icon.
Their long-time guitarist, John K has left the band and was replaced by Ryan Knight during the beginning of 2009. In May 2009, The Black Dahlia Murder released their first DVD, "Majesty". The DVD contains a documentary and live footage from the Summer Slaughter tour and their tour supporting Children of Bodom in late 2008. The DVD also contains all of their music videos and behind the scenes footage.
The Black Dahlia Murder released Deflorate on September 15, 2009 via Metal Blade Records. The album sold 12,000 copies in the United States in the first week of the release, debuted at position #43 Billboard's Top 200 charts, #5 on Billboard's Independent Albums chart, #4 on Billboard's Top Hard Music Albums chart, and #50 on HITS Top 50 Albums chart. They toured with Children of Bodom and Skeletonwitch in support of the album. After their 2010 headlining tour with Goatwhore and Arkaik, the band began writing and recording their next full-length album.
Ritual (2011–present)
In February 2011, The Black Dahlia Murder completed the songwriting process for the their fifth studio album, entitled Ritual. It was released on June 21, 2011 in North America. The band supported Amon Amarth on their May 2011 European tour, as well as headlined the 2011 Summer Slaughter tour, both in support of Ritual. Before the record's release, the track "Moonlight Equilibrium" was posted to the Metal Blade Records website on April 29, 2011 to critical and fan acclaim. A music video for "Moonlight Equilibrium" was released on February 20, 2012.
Tours :
The Black Dahlia Murder headlined the 2008 Summer Slaughter Tour with Kataklysm, Vader, Cryptopsy, The Faceless, Despised Icon, Aborted, Born of Osiris, Psycroptic, and Whitechapel. In late 2008, they joined a US tour with Finland's Children of Bodom and Raleigh, NC's Between the Buried and Me. They were initially announced as "...with special guests" at the start of the tour, though it has since been confirmed by Revolver Magazine that they are on tour. They appeared on the Hot Topic Stage in the 2009 Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival. In late 2009, they embarked on a US tour with Finland's Children of Bodom and Skeletonwitch. The band headlined the Bonecrusher Fest tour of Europe in Spring 2010 alongside 3 Inches of Blood, Necrophobic, Obscura, The Faceless, Carnifex and Ingested. Tennessee. Since their inception in 2006, the band has released three studio albums and four music videos and are currently signed to Metal Blade Records. Whitechapel are notable for employing three guitarists, each of which perform specific parts during performances. History :
Formation and The Somatic Defilement (2006—2007)
Whitechapel was founded in February 2006 by Knoxville residents Phil Bozeman, Brandon Cagle, and Ben Savage. They were soon joined by Alex Wade (formerly of Redwinterdying), later Whitechapel guitarist Zach Householder, Gabe Crisp, and Derek Martin, and recorded their first demos in March of that year. They named themselves after the location in London known as Whitechapel where the occurrence of the infamous Whitechapel murders were committed by Jack the Ripper. In 2007 the band signed to Siege of Amida Records in the United Kingdom, and Candlelight Records in North America, and later acquired new drummer Kevin Lane and released their debut full-length album The Somatic Defilement in June of that year.
This Is Exile (2007—2010)
In October 2007, the group signed to Metal Blade Records, and in 2008 released their second album entitled This Is Exile. The album reached #118 in the Billboard Top 200. In 2008 they were starting to tour with more popular bands such as Parkway Drive and Unearth on the Never Say Die! tour. They have produced a video for the song "Possession", along with one for "This Is Exile". Whitechapel has also toured on the Rockstar Mayhem Festival on the Hot Topic Stage along with the bands Job for a Cowboy, Cannibal Corpse, Behemoth and The Black Dahlia Murder, and alongside bands of the main stage such as Slayer and Marilyn Manson, who headlined the tour.
Whitechapel toured with Darkest Hour and Trivium on their 2009 and 2010 "Into the Mouth of Hell We Tour".
A New Era of Corruption (2010—present)
Whitechapel recorded their follow-up album to This Is Exile from December 27th to March 31st with Jason Suecof as the chosen producer. The band early-on announced a summer 2010 release date for the record. The name of the album was later confirmed to be A New Era of Corruption.
A song from A New Era of Corruption entitled, "The Darkest Day of Man" was performed live before the album's release. Months later it was released as streaming media online. A New Era of Corruption was released on June 8, 2010.
Whitechapel's focus on mass exposure over their small, dedicated following has provided them with featured spots in both California Metal Fest IV and 2010's Warped Tour. They have also been announced to play Download festival in 2010, and will be a part of the second stage showcased. A headlining US tour with Impending Doom, Oceano, I Declare War and Miss May I has been confirmed.

A Different Breed of Killer
Biography :
A Different Breed of Killer is a deathcore band from Knoxville,
Tennessee. They released their debut album, I, Colossus, on April 29, 2008.
History :
Formed in October 2006, A Different Breed of Killer quickly made a name for themselves in the Knoxville deathcore scene. Less than a year after their formation, the band signed with Rise Records and released I, Colossus, which received generally positive reviews. The band has toured with such bands as Whitechapel, Through the Eyes of the Dead, and Impending Doom.
Recently, A Different Breed Of Killer have announced they are preparing their second full-length to be titled The City. The album will be produced by the band's drummer Nija Walker, who has been a student of recording technologies for 8 years, and worked directly under world-renowned mastering engineer Seva at SoundCurrent Mastering in Knoxville, TN. The album will also be mastered by Jamie King (Between the Buried and Me) at The Basement Recording in Winston-Salem, NC. Also unique to this recording is plans to record, mix and master the entire album in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround sound. The band stated "to our knowledge this is the first time this process has been applied to a death metal record."
The band has also announced that they have left Rise Records and are in the process of securing a new label for The City.
As stated from a conversation with vocalist Klint Monroe via Facebook, A Different Breed of Killer has indeed disbanded. A few members left the band which made it difficult to record "The City" so A Different Breed of Killer decided to self produce the album. "The City" was only going to be released for the sake of the fans even though the band has disbanded. Sadly, "The City" will never be released because of a stated argument and contract with the producer. Only certain members have access to the Myspace page and refuse to announce the disbanding.

Shortly after their formation, the group signed with Galy Records, and released their debut album, Consumed by Your Poison in October of that year. The following year, Despised Icon had undergone several changes in their lineup. In early 2004, the group returned with a new formation, comprising of two vocalists Steve Marois and Alexandre Erian, guitarists Yannick St-Amand and Eric Jarrin, bassist Sebastien Piche, and drummer Alexandre Pelletier, and recorded a self-financed EP entitled Syndicated Murderers, followed by a split EP with Bodies in the Gears of the Apparatus, issued through Relapse Records.
The Healing Process (2005—2006)
Despised Icon signed a worldwide deal with Century Media in January 2005. Despised Icon released their second studio album, The Healing Process through the label on April 5, 2005. It was produced by the band's guitarist Yannick St-Amand, mixed by Jean-Francois Dagenais and mastered by Alan Douches.
Despised Icon toured in support of The Healing Process in 2005, alongside artists including Cryptopsy, Vader, Suffocation, Aborted, Immolation, Deicide and continued touring into 2006 with Through the Eyes of the Dead, Ed Gein, Morbid Angel, Behemoth, Hatebreed, Exodus, The Black Dahlia Murder and Napalm Death. During the same year, their debut album, Consumed by Your Poison was re-released through Century Media. In early 2007, they went on tour supporting Unearth, along with Job for a Cowboy and Dååth.
The Ills of Modern Man and Day of Mourning (2007—present)
Bassist Max Lavelle at 2008's Never Say Die! tour held in London.
The band's third studio album, The Ills of Modern Man was recorded and released in 2007 through Century Media Records and was produced by their former guitarist, Yannick St. Amand. That summer, they toured supporting Job for a Cowboy along with The Faceless and A Life Once Lost. Following that tour, they went on tour supporting Suicide Silence, along with Winds of Plague. In the winter of that year, they toured with The Acacia Strain, Full Blown Chaos, The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza, and Ligeia. They also toured supporting Misery Index, along with Beneath the Massacre and Man Must Die. On 18 June 2008, the original bassist Sebastien Piché has left the band due to him having a full-time job and being a new father. Piché was replaced by Max Lavelle from Goratory. They were then on the 2008 Summer Slaughter Tour alongside The Black Dahlia Murder, Vader, Cryptopsy, The Faceless, Aborted, Born of Osiris, Psycroptic, and Whitechapel.
In late October 2008, Despised Icon announced the details of their first DVD, entitled Montreal Assault, which was released January 27, 2009. The DVD features a multi-camera shoot from the band's sold-out hometown show, along with a documentary, in addition to all their music videos. It was originally intended to be released on January 17th, but was delayed due to manufacturing problems. In December 2008, guitarist Al Glassman left Despised Icon to join Job for a Cowboy in replacement of their original guitarist Ravi Bhadriraju. During their 2009 Montreal Assault Tour, Despised Icon announced that they were recording a new studio album, entitled Day of Mourning, that was released on 22 September 2009 by Century Media Records. On July 17, 2009, Despised Icon released their song, "MVP" as the first song off of Day of Mourning onto the web. They played on the 2009 Thrash and Burn Tour alongside DevilDriver, Emmure, Veil of Maya, For the Fallen Dreams, Oceano, Periphery, MyChildren MyBride, and Thy Will Be Done. Their fourth album Day of Mourning was released as scheduled on September 22, 2009, and reached #162 on the Billboard 200 as of September 30th, 2009. A music video was created and released for the title track of the album.
On April 7, 2010, Despised Icon made an announcement that they will be disbanding. The reason that was explained is because that the members are reaching "a new chapter in their lives, starting families, buying houses and pursuing other careers to make it all happen. Writing music, touring and leaving home for months at a time is slowly becoming impossible because of that. We all decided that it’d be best to pull the plug now and end things right." Their farewell European tour will include an appearance at the Hevy Music Festival on August 7, 2010 near Folkestone, UK.

Job For a Cowboy
Biography :
Job for a Cowboy is an American death metal band from Glendale, Arizona, for
med in 2003. They released their first EP, Doom in 2005, and later that year signed with Metal Blade Records. Their official debut album, Genesis, was released in 2007, peaking at #54 on the Billboard 200 and selling 13,000 copies in its first week.
Job for a Cowboy started as a deathcore group, and evolved into a predominantly death metal sound with their full-length debut Genesis. Their influences include bands such as Decapitated, Hate Eternal, Mastodon, Nile, and The End. They have been defined by The New York Times as "an Arizona band with a guttural, brute-force sound descended (indirectly) from hard-core punk" and "straightforwardly brutal act" by Rolling Stone magazine.
The band has played in several festivals, including Download Festival, Sounds of the Underground, Mayhem Festival and Wacken Open Air. The current line-up of the band consists of vocalist Jonny Davy, guitarists Al Glassman and Bobby Thompson, bassist Brent Riggs, and drummer Jon Rice, with Davy being the only original member.
History :
* Formation and Doom (2003–2006)
Job for a Cowboy was founded in Glendale, Arizona during December 2003 by vocalist Jonny Davy, guitarists Ravi Bhadriraju and Andrew Arcurio, bassist Chad Staples, and drummer Andy Rysdam. In 2004, they created a MySpace profile, posted songs online, and immediately began to connect with several worldwide fans. Later that year, Staples and Rysdam left Job for a Cowboy and were replaced by Brent Riggs and Elliott Sellers respectively as bassist and drummer. Traffic to the band's MySpace profile increased exponentially in late 2005 when the band released their first EP, entitled Doom. The EP attracted the attention of Arizona independent label King of the Monsters, who distributed the disc after an initial self-released pressing by the band.
Job for a Cowboy extensively promoted their debut EP, including three performances on the Sounds of the Underground tour. By the end of the year, the band obtained professional management and signed a deal with Metal Blade Records, who reissued Doom with a bonus track. During the same year (2006), Arcurio left the band, and Bobby Thompson joined the group. While Job for a Cowboy was writing material for their first full-length album, Sellers announced that he would be leaving the band to go back to school immediately after recording the album. In search of a permanent drummer, the band then posted a bulletin on Blabbermouth.net, which was seen by Jon "The Charn" Rice. He made a video of himself, posted it on YouTube, and sent the link to the band. Soon after, Rice was announced as the new drummer.
* Genesis and Ruination (2007–present)
In March 2007, Job for a Cowboy completed their debut full-length album, Genesis. The album was recorded at Blue Light Audio Media in Phoenix, Arizona with producer Cory Spotts. It was mixed by Sabbat guitarist Andy Sneap; released on May 15, the album peaked at #54 on the Billboard 200, and sold nearly 13,000 copies in its first week, which made Genesis the best-selling heavy metal debut since Slipknot's 1999 debut album. The album received generally positive reviews, with Kerrang! magazine saying, "an album that quite literally obliterates everyone else currently residing within the death and grind scenes" and "one of the year's most essential metal purchases".
In June 2007, the band performed at the Download Festival in Donington Park, England. The group also played at the Sounds of the Underground festival along with Amon Amarth, Chimaira, Gwar, and Shadows Fall. In October, Job for a Cowboy co-headlined the 2007 Radio Rebellion Tour, teaming up with Behemoth, Gojira and Beneath the Massacre. The band featured on the 2008's Gigantour with headliners Megadeth, Children of Bodom, In Flames and High on Fire.In addition, they have been confirmed for a number of festivals during 2008, including Wacken Open Air in Germany and a second appearance at England's Download Festival.Job for a Cowboy have embarked on a U.S. headlining tour in November and December 2008 with supporting acts Hate Eternal and All Shall Perish. In late-2008 guitarist Ravi Bhadriraju left Job for a Cowboy to return to school because want to pursue a more rewarding career in the medical field, in his words "reinvent the pacemaker"; he was replaced with ex-Despised Icon guitarist Al Glassman.
On May 1, 2009, the band announced that they completed recording their second studio album, Ruination, at AudioHammer studios in Sanford, Florida with producer Jason Suecof. The album marks the debut of drummer Jon "the Charn" Rice, who has actually been with the band since the tour for Genesis, and also of guitarist Al Glassman.Ruination, was then released on July 7, 2009 worldwide through Metal Blade Records.Job for a Cowboy will take place in the second Mayhem Festival, playing on the Hot Topic stage along with bands such as Cannibal Corpse and Whitechapel.

As Blood Runs Black
Biography :
As Blood Runs Black is an American deathcore band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 2003.
History
The band was formed in 2003 in Los Angeles by Bijon Roybal, Richard Reyes, Louie Ruvalcaba, Kyle Hasenstaab, and Hector "Leche" de Santiago . They are currently signed to Mediaskare Records and their debut album, Allegiance, achieved considerable success[1], making the band a well-known Deathcore act. They are currently at work on a second album currently named Descent Into Hysteria.
In 2007 and 2008, they toured extensively in the United States, on The Summer Slaughter Tour 2007, BrutaliTour 2007, and the Metal for the Masses 2008 Tour; and in the United Kingdom, on The Summer Slaughter Tour. During 2007's The Summer Slaughter Tour, drummer Hector de Santiago was kicked out of the band, and replaced by Ryan Thomas, formerly of the band The Serpent Son, but after he left Scott Walker filled on. Currently, they have just updated their MySpace page with a video, confirming that Chris and Sal have left the band, they are still going to continue to work on the new album and also keep touring. Despite having fill-in members for Chris and Sal as of now, ABRB are not sure yet whether they are permanent or not. Leche was also in this video with Ernie, as they informed us that he was back in the band, and would be playing and writing on the new album.
The band performed a new song on the Bleeding Through Tour, entitled Airforce One. Recently the band released the instrumental track of it onto their MySpace page as a vocal audition in search of a new vocalist and frontman. On their 2009 "Never Say Die Tour", As Blood Runs Black introduced their new vocalist, Jonny McBee, and also performed a new song called "Stand Your Ground". The band has stated in a blog that they will be going into the studio after the holidays to record the record, and that it should be released mid 2010. As Blood Runs Black went into the studio and recorded vocals for Airforce One and the track was released on December 24th. Just a few days after releasing their demo vocal recording of Air Force One, newfound vocalist Jonny McBee left the band due to conflicting personality issues.
The band entered the studio on January 4th to record drums for the new album. On January 12th, the band entered the studio to record guitars. It was also posted on their Twitter page that they would be putting up a new vocal demo soon. Recently the band has been broadcasting live on uStream.
