Biography :
Wayd is a technical/progressive death metal band with jazz
influence from Prešov, Slovakia.
History :
The death metal band Wayd was founded in the year 1994 when thrash metal band MARION and death metal band DYSENTERY fused together. Both of them were just small bands known only in the regional underground scene as conventional metal bands. However, the very first beginnings of Wayd are connected with the effort to break the borders between the styles, as well as the effort to create more experimental and musically richer compositions.
Wayd was set up by Milan Savko (vocals and guitars), Braňo Kóša (drums), Richard Mayer (guitars) and Drahoš Juřík (bass guitar and vocals). Even though these four members stayed faithful to "Wayd", some small changes occurred in the line-up.
They mix the styles of jazz, death metal and progressive creating their music.

Cryptopsy
Biography :
Cryptopsy is a Canadian technical death metal band from Montreal,
Quebec, formed in 1988. The band has sold over 300,000 records.
History :
Necrosis (1988–1992)
Cryptopsy was formed in 1988 by drummer Mike Atkin, guitarist Steve Thibault and vocalist Dan Greening (who would later take the name "Lord Worm" because he would dig up and ingest worms on stage) under the name "Necrosis". John Todds later joined on bass. The band released several demos, including Mastication and Heterodontism (1989), Realms Of Pathogenia (1991) and Necrosis (1992). The band made their first live appearance in 1992, and changed their name to "Cryptopsy" the same year.
Atkin, whose musical direction was heading in a more thrash/speed metal vein, left the band and was replaced by Flo Mounier (introduced to the band by Todds), whose "high speed and hard hitting drumming" style would mark the beginning of the Cryptopsy sound. Todds left Necrosis shortly thereafter and retired from music to focus on his family. Guitarist Dave Galea also joined the band.
Blasphemy Made Flesh (1993–1995)
Cryptopsy recruited Kevin Weagle to play bass, and in 1993 released their debut demo, Ungentle Exhumation. This demo caught the attention of local label Gore Records. Gore Records would proceed to re-release the demo and would, for a brief period, manage the band as well. Cryptopsy's first demo release earned them some attention in the Canadian death metal underground, as well as from the German label Invasion Records.
By 1994, bassist Kevin Weagle had been replaced by Martin Fergusson, and Dave Galea left and was replaced by lead guitarist Jon Levasseur. This line-up recorded their debut album, Blasphemy Made Flesh, which at first was independently released in 1994 and later licensed to Invasion Records. The album gained them a wide following in the Canadian underground.
Despite recent recognition, difficulties ensued with their label Invasion Records. Invasion was collapsing because of financial problems and as a result Cryptopsy was now without a label to support their tour and album activities. Despite setback, the album would later come in the possession of Dutch label Displeased Records. After successful touring in support of Blasphemy Made Flesh, guitarist Steve Thibault left the band but remained manager for a few months. Bassist Martin Fergusson was replaced by Eric Langlois. The addition of Langlois incorporated funk-style bass slaps into the Cryptopsy sound.
None So Vile (1996–1997)
In 1996, the line-up of Lord Worm, Flo Mounier, Jon Levasseur, and Eric Langlois released the album None So Vile on the Swedish label Wrong Again Records. This album took the extreme and technical elements further and is now considered a benchmark of technical death metal. By this time, Levasseur was a very prominent songwriter in the band. His guitar leads consisted of very fast yet complex shreds, which were usually played in short bursts. Although Levasseur handled all the guitar parts on the album, the band would add Miguel Roy as a second touring guitarist.
After the tour in support of None So Vile, Lord Worm departed the band, focusing his career as an English teacher. The band had reached some musical differences as well, as the rest of the band wanted to evolve and expand more, and Lord Worm expressed a dislike for the experimental path that Cryptopsy's music was then taking.
In early 1997, new vocalist Mike DiSalvo joined the band. He was from Boston, Massachusetts and had the personal approval by Lord Worm to be the new vocalist. Mike DiSalvo also had a different vocal style from Lord Worm: a less extreme and more hardcore sounding voice. In July 1997, Cryptopsy’s appearance at the Milwaukee Metalfest XI gained the attention of many American metalheads as well as the label Century Media.
Whisper Supremacy (1998–1999)
Cryptopsy's next album, Whisper Supremacy, was released on Century Media in 1998, and featured Miguel Roy on second guitar. It took Cryptopsy's style further, incorporating some jazz and fusion elements. Some fans criticised Mike DiSalvo's vocal style, citing that it was too similar to that of hardcore vocalists and preferred the more extreme death metal style of Lord Worm, whereas others welcomed the more intelligible lyrics and vocal presence of DiSalvo. The tour in support of Whisper Supremacy also took the band on their first tour through the United States, increasing their fan-base significantly.
And Then You'll Beg (2000–2001)
Cryptopsy released their fourth studio effort, …And Then You'll Beg, in 2000. The album featured a new guitarist, Alex Auburn, who replaced Miguel Roy. And Then You'll Beg was viewed as being less extreme than Cryptopsy's previous albums. The album also incorporated even more progressive elements and was still considered to be very technical and experimental. After the first portion of the supporting tour, Mike DiSalvo departed from the band to pursue a family life with his girlfriend in Montreal and with a daughter on the way.
In 2001, Montreal-area Cryptopsy fan Martin LaCroix took over the position as Cryptopsy's singer for the Europe and Japan tours. His style was viewed by many fans as being in between the styles of Lord Worm and Mike DiSalvo, making him a convenient choice to front the band.

In June 2001, Cryptopsy played their first concert in their hometown of Montreal in four years and attracted an audience of more than 2,000. The concert was recorded and released as a live album, None So Live, in May 2003. This release was LaCroix's only contribution to Cryptopsy's discography. The band soon realised that the French-speaking LaCroix was not fluent enough in English, which prevented him from writing lyrics on par with his predecessors.
Later in 2003, it was announced that Lord Worm, Cryptopsy's original vocalist, had rejoined the band. Throughout summer 2004, Cryptopsy played shows in the Montreal area, and continued a full Canada tour in September, with former guitarist Miguel Roy filling in for the unavailable Jon Levasseur. Beginning on October 9, Martyr and former Gorguts guitarist Dan Mongrain took over second guitar duties for the live dates. The setlist for this tour began the entire None So Vile album played straight through, and then followed by songs from Blasphemy Made Flesh and Whisper Supremacy. The Canada 2004 tour ended at Cryptopsy's performance on November 6 at the Trois-Rivieres Metalfest IV, which was filmed for a live DVD. The DVD Live at Trois-Rivieres Metalfest IV was released in 2005.
Once Was Not (2005–2006)
On January 31, 2005, Jon Levasseur announced that he had lost interest in extreme music and amicably departed Cryptopsy. Dan Mongrain remained on guitar duties for the Back to the Worms tour through the United States from February to May. After the tour's completion Mongrain also departed in order to continue his work with Martyr. It was then announced that Cryptopsy's next album, Once Was Not, would be released on October 18, 2005. The album features original vocalist Lord Worm, Flo Mounier, Eric Langlois, and Alex Auburn handling all guitar duties except the intro track "Luminum". On September 28 it was announced that the new touring guitarist would be Christian Donaldson of Mythosis. The band toured North America with Suffocation, Despised Icon, and Aborted. Advanced copies of the new album were available at the shows. After a break, and the release of Flo Mounier's instructional drumming DVD Extreme Metal Drumming 101, the band toured Europe with Grave, Aborted, Dew-Scented, and others, followed by tours in America and Australia. Following their second tour of Europe, UK, and Scandinavia; guitarist Christian Donalson was hired as a permanent member of the band.
The Unspoken King (Since 2007)
The new album was originally to be called The Book of Suffering, and was to be a double album, but on April 23, 2007, Cryptopsy announced that Lord Worm had been fired from the band and that they were looking for a new vocalist. After the announcement, Lord Worm stated that he left the group earlier than planned for health reasons, which contradicted the band's statement that he was kicked out.
On December 4, 2007, Cryptopsy revealed the addition of vocalist Matt McGachy and keyboardist Maggie Durand to the band. With these additions, the band's style became deathcore-oriented, incorporating melodic elements and making use of clean vocals. The new lineup released The Unspoken King on June 24, 2008. The album was subject to a backlash from fans of the band's previous works, due to the album's metalcore influence and the addition of clean singing. The band has posted a song on their MySpace, "It's Dinner Time", mocking their detractors.
In early February 2009, guitarist Alex Auburn announced his departure from the band, saying that there were numerous reasons for his leaving, and that he and the rest of the band agreed with the departure.
A few months later, the band announced that they had recruited guitarist Youri Raymond from the Montreal band Unhuman, and that they are writing material for a new album.

Celtic Frost
Biography :
Celtic Frost was a heavy metal band from Zürich, Switzerland. They
are known for their heavy influence on the extreme metal genres, particularly black metal. The group was first active from 1984 to 1993, and re-formed in 2001. Following Tom Gabriel Fischer's departure in 2008, Celtic Frost decided to break up again. The band was inspired by heavy metal groups such as Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Venom but also by gothic rock acts like Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees and Christian Death and the hardcore punk group Discharge.
History :
Formation (1984-1985)
Celtic Frost's former frontman, guitarist and singer Tom Gabriel Fischer, adopted the alias Tom Warrior. With Steve Warrior on bass, he formed one of the earliest extreme metal bands, Hellhammer, in 1982. Steve Warrior was later replaced by Martin Eric Ain - also a pseudonym. The band attracted a small international fan-base, got signed to Noise Records in Germany and recorded their debut EP Apocalyptic Raids in March 1984, now a rare finding on e-Bay or second hand record stores around the world.
By May 1984, Hellhammer had disbanded. Fischer and Ain, along with session drummer Stephen Priestly, regrouped as Celtic Frost. Their 1984 debut mini-LP, Morbid Tales was a hit in the underground metal scene, and the band set out on its first tour, through Germany and Austria. This was followed with an EP "Emperor's Return". Both early releases are now available on the one CD.
Continued success (1985-1987)
One of their more influential recordings was 1985's "To Mega Therion" which did not feature Ain on bass, but stand-in Dominic Steiner. Ain did return after the album was recorded however. In 1987 followed Into the Pandemonium. These albums were some of the pivotal LPs for underground metal and inducted a new and more varied sound. Celtic Frost, along with Venom and Bathory were pioneers in the still underground black metal scene, although Celtic Frost were much more experimental with the addition of classical instruments, operatic female vocals and sampling. They were often given the title of avant-garde metal.
Stylistic changes, internal struggles, and first breakup (1987-1993)
After a subsequent North American tour (which saw the addition of a second guitarist, Ron Marks to the groups ranks), financial trouble, personal tension between the band members and an ill-fated relationship with their record label led to a complete dissolution of the band. Six months later, Warrior decided to reform the band with Stephen Priestly back on drums, Oliver Amberg on guitars and Curt Victor Bryant on bass. The resulting album Cold Lake was a disappointment to most of the group's established fan-base but achieved notable success in the North American market. Bryant fired Amberg and former live guitarist Ron Marks returned as a guest for the recording of Vanity/Nemesis in 1990. The most significant change, however, was the return of early bassist Martin Eric Ain. But Celtic Frost's reputation did not fully recover. The group's next (and, as it would turn out, last for several years) album was a collection of rare and unreleased recordings called Parched With Thirst Am I and Dying (1992). The compilation's title was inspired by an old Roman prayer. It featured unreleased material, re-recorded versions of older songs and some studio session versions, closing the chapter on one of the most important underground and experimental bands of all time.
A final album titled "Under Apollyon's Sun" never eventuated under that title, although Fischer co-founded a new group called Apollyon Sun.
Post-breakup (1993-2001)
Several years following the disbanding of Celtic Frost, and after quite some time spent away from the music industry, Fischer co-founded a new group called Apollyon Sun with his close friend Erol Unala on guitars in the mid-1990s and recorded an EP God Leaves (And Dies) and a full-length album Sub. Although clearly based on Celtic Frost's dark and more adventurous music, Apollyon Sun was an industrial metal project. During his hiatus from music, Fischer had also finished work on an autobiographical book, called Are You Morbid?, which was published by London-based Sanctuary Publishing to fan acclaim in 2000.
Reunion (2001-2008)
In late 2001, Fischer and Ain began to write music together again, along with Unala on guitar and, from late 2002, experienced Swiss drummer Franco Sesa (also known within the group as the Inverted Cross). The aim was to develop and record a new, very dark and heavy album. The completion of the project took far longer than anticipated (in part due to the DIY nature of the project and the project's financing) but finally resulted, in late 2005, in what Fischer and Ain describe as "perhaps the darkest album Celtic Frost have ever recorded", based on a combination of the musical aura of To Mega Therion and Into The Pandemonium.
The newest and seventh Celtic Frost album was financed by the group itself through its own imprint, Prowling Death Records, and publishing imprint, Diktatur des Kapitals. Prowling Death Records originally was the self-founded underground label which released the Hellhammer demos and managed Hellhammer's career in 1983 and 1984. The album was produced by Celtic Frost with Peter Tägtgren (of Bloodbath/Hypocrisy/Pain fame) and mixed by Fischer and Ain. Celtic Frost and Prowling Death Records subsequently entered into a worldwide licensing deal with Century Media Records. The album, titled "Monotheist", was released on May 30, 2006.
On May 29, 2006, Celtic Frost embarked on the most extensive tour of the band's career, the "Monotheist Tour", initially headlining festivals (e.g. the Wacken Open Air festival, in front of an audience of 50,000) across Europe the United States and Canada in 2006, and the group's first ever shows in Japan in January 2007. In early 2007 the European leg of the tour took place and a return to the United States as a special guest to Type O Negative. Further festival appearances and concerts followed in mid-2007.
On stage, Celtic Frost play with an additional tour guitar player. This position was initially filled by Anders Odden (Cadaver, Apoptygma Berzerk, Magenta), now by V Santura (of Dark Fortress).
In early 2007, Celtic Frost began writing material for a new album, possibly due for release in 2008.
Metalunderground posted a statement from Tom Fischer regarding the new album.
"Only a few hours until I am to depart to Norway for a few weeks to participate in the production of a black metal project with close friends and peers. In early March I shall return to Switzerland to take further steps towards the realization of my own black metal/doom side project, the idea for which has taken an increasingly defined shape during the past months."
Fischer spoke to Spanish metal webzine Hall of Metal recently about new material: "I’m actually working on a new album of Celtic Frost and I think it’s going to be really extreme and dark. Celtic Frost has its own style, its own sound and it expresses a lot of emotions. The music I write shows the state of my life, and now I feel very comfortable with such dark music."
As of Celtic Frost's announcement of their second breakup in September 2008, there is no talk of recording and releasing the new album.
Second breakup and Triptykon (2008-present)
Fischer tendered his resignation from Celtic Frost on April 9, 2008, with this message displayed on the band's official website:
"Celtic Frost singer and guitarist Tom Gabriel Fischer has left Celtic Frost due to the irresolvable, severe erosion of the personal basis so urgently required to collaborate within a band so unique, volatile, and ambitious."
Bassist Ain stated that the band was "still alive, albeit in a coma of sorts." He went on further to say that the remainder of the band is "not going to continue recording or touring," saying this "would be preposterous" without Fischer. Fischer has himself gone on to form a new band called Triptykon, featuring Celtic Frost touring guitarist V Santura, original Celtic Frost drummer Reed St. Mark (although he has since departed and was replaced by Norman Lonhard), as well as bassist Vanja Slajh. Fischer has also said that his new band will sound similar to the direction Celtic Frost took on their 2006 album, Monotheist.
On September 9, 2008, Celtic Frost members Martin Eric Ain and Tom Gabriel Fischer confirmed on Celtic Frost's official website that the band had "jointly decided to lay Celtic Frost to rest for good".
Genre :
As Celtic Frost changed their sound throughout their career their exact genre has been a topic of debate. They have been labeled with various metal genres by the media and it continues today. Their earlier music is often classified as thrash metal, black metal by fans and critics, and even death metal while their later work as doom metal and gothic metal. With the album Cold Lake they were even shown to experiment with glam metal. The level of experimentation on albums like Into the Pandemonium, lead certain journalists to describe the band's direction as avant-garde metal.
Influences :
Celtic Frost have influenced a number of black, death, thrash, and heavy metal bands. The band Therion, for example, took its band name from the album To Mega Therion. Other bands that have cited Celtic Frost as an influence, or have covered Celtic Frost, include Obituary, Sepultura, Gorgoroth, Gallhammer and many others. Dave Grohl (ex-Nirvana, Foo Fighters) and Mark Tremonti (Alter Bridge, Creed) have both stated on several occasions that Celtic Frost were an influence. He subsequently invited Celtic Frost singer Tom Gabriel Fischer to participate in the recordings of his 2004 solo project, Probot, resulting in the co-written song "Big Sky".
Despite this, when frontman Tom was asked to comment on their influence on heavy metal, he replied "no, I try to stay away from that. I'm a musician, I don't want to get involved with all that. It's not healthy. I want to do good albums. I'm still alive and I feel there's still so much in front of me. I don't want to be bothered with who has influence and where we stand and all that. I think it's a negative thing."

Individual Distortion
Biography :
Established in 2005, Individual Distortion is a stupid-electronica-expe
rimental-retard-unskilled-no-talent-get-a-life-whatevercore project that formed in Jakarta by a bored film school student.
The sound is basically crap, it is a mixture of anything offensive, thrashy, stupid, and retard which drawing influences from Anal Cunt, The Gerogerigegege, Skrewdriver, Oasis, Rockbitch to MTV's TRL garbage music.
Alone, he started the i-don't-give-a-fuck movement in Indonesia, where everything starts to become more lame these days, just like you. He try to make something that's different, knowing that he probably won't succeed. His main focus is to have some fun while doing all this.
Individual Distortion is also an unprofessional project, so obviously it tolerate and like to co-operate with unprofessional D.I.Y. (non profit included) labels or unprofessional D.I.Y. gig promoters. Individual Distortion always appreciate the people who buy/downloaded his records, see him play (individual distortion is open for collaboration + everyone is invited to play guitar on it's shows), and support him along with the fanzines, labels, distributors and event planners. Individual Distortion don't reject all media or bash writers who express himself through articles or reviews. If you want Individual Distortion on your compilation or wanna do a release or a split with Individual Distortion, just ask (physical releases preferred).

Enslaved
Biography :
Enslaved is a progressive black metal band formed in June 1991 in Haugesund, Norway, and currently based
out of Bergen, Norway.
History :
Enslaved was formed in June 1991 by Ivar Bjørnson and Grutle Kjellson (also known as Kjell Grutle) when they were 13 and 17 years old, respectively. The band name was inspired by an Immortal demo track, "Enslaved in Rot". After many line-up changes throughout their career, Bjørnson and Kjellson are the only remaining original members. By 2004 the line-up solidified with guitarist Arve Isdal, drummer Cato Bekkevold, and keyboardist/vocalist Herbrand Larsen.
Bjørnson and Kjellson had been playing in a death metal band called Phobia, but like many in the burgeoning black metal movement, they were looking for new sources of inspiration and expression. Though Enslaved began as a prototypical Norwegian black metal band, they always incorporated song structures unusual for the genre, with several of their early songs expanding past the ten-minute mark. The album Eld (1997) is often considered to be the beginning of the band's shift towards progressive metal; that album's sixteen-minute track "793 (Slaget om Lindisfarne)" is often regarded as one of the peaks of the band's career. The band's shift toward progressive black metal was rendered complete with Mardraum (2000), which contained several multi-part epics such as "Større enn tid - Tyngre enn natt" and "Entrance - Escape"; from that point onward, the band's influence from progressive rock became stronger on each successive record, with several tracks (most prominently, "As Fire Swept Clean the Earth" from Below the Lights) even using Mellotron. Mardraum, Monumension (2001), and Below the Lights (2003) can be regarded as having somewhat similar styles, although there is a clear progression of sound between the albums regardless; however, Isa (2004) and Ruun (2006) show a marked departure from previous sounds, most notably, with inclusion of sharp dynamic shifts.
Although the band has used mainly English lyrics since Monumension, their albums before that were mostly recorded in Norwegian except on their first full-length album, where three songs had Icelandic lyrics, while the lyrics on Heimdallr was an Old Norse excerpt from Gylfaginning by Snorri Sturluson. Most of their lyrics relate to Norse mythology.
In 2007-2008 Bjørnson, Kjellson, and Isdal collaborated with the Norwegian noise duo Fe-Mail, under the name Trinacria. Enslaved released the album Vertebrae in September 2008. On this particular album, many of their techniques, particularly harmonies, have been compared to Pink Floyd. After touring Europe extensively, Enslaved embarked on a North American tour with the progressive death metal band Opeth in May 2009.
On 15 July 2010, Enslaved announced Axioma Ethica Odini as the title of its eleventh studio album, scheduled to be released in Europe on September 27 and in North America on September 28.

Disgorge
Biography :
In 1992- Bryan Ugartechea, Tony Freithoffer and Ricky Myers started what was to become one of
California's most brutal death grind bands! In 1992 they released their first demo "Cognitive lust of Mutilation". Shortly after, Disgorge relocated to San Diego California to establish their name in the underground scene. During the move the band parted ways with bassist/vocalist Bryan Ugartechea. Immediately, new members Matti Way-vocals and Eric Flesy-bass filled Brian's position. The band quickly wrote new material for their second demo "95 demo", which was distributed worldwide and received great reviews. Disgorge played many shows throughout 1995 to broaden their fan base. In 1996 Disgorge recorded the first four tracks of "Cranial Impalement" (CD released by Extremities Prod.) which wasn't released until recently. In 1997 Tony Freithoffer and Eric Flesy left the band to pursue other things. Ricky and Matti began looking for new members, which weren't found until late 1998. Diego Sanchez-guitar and Ben Marlin-bass of Strangulation (a local death metal band) decided to join Disgorge then signing with Unique Leader Entertainment, shortly after they released their full-length album entitled 'She Lay Gutted' in November of ‘99. Since the release of She lay Gutted Disgorge has toured worldwide in Europe, North America and South America. Disgorge has recently recorded their third album entitled"Consume the Forsaken" which is distributed worldwide. Disgorge has always set out to play the most extreme music possible and on all three albums they have stayed true to their ways. On their fourth album entitled "Parallels of Infinite Torture" featuring new front man Levi Fuselier they will push their limits even farther.
