Wolf

Biography :

WOLF was formed in 1995 and to this day, the band has had only one goal: to make kick-ass, honest, grab-you-in-the-nuts heavy metal! After releasing their debut album, “Wolf” back in 2000, the band toured relentlessly and destroyed the major festivals, gaining them more and more followers and success. In 2002, the album “Black Wings” saw the light of day and songs like “Venom” and “Genocide” quickly became live favourites, and still are to this day. After touring with the likes of Saxon, Nocturnal Rites, Edguy and many more, WOLF set out to write and record the album that would set them apart from others in their genre by developing their own sound even further towards metallic excellence. The album, “Evil Star”, was released in 2004 and with the help of the title track, along with the video for “Wolf’s Blood,” the band grabbed the attention of metal media and die-hard heavy metal fans around the world. WOLF became a rising star purely by their tenacity and love for their music. Not to mention the brilliance of their musical talent. The success of "Evil Star" brought the band to the USA for the second time in their career.

In 2005, WOLF’s success gained the interest of Century Media Records who released the 2006 album “The Black Flame”. In support of this new effort, WOLF hit the road with the likes of The Haunted, Trivium and Municipal Waste among others, as well as conquered such festivals as Sweden Rock Festival (which was recorded and aired by Swedish national radio), Bang Your Head, Bloodstock UK, Headbanger’s Open Air and more. The video for the track “I Will Kill Again” achieved regular rotation on many TV stations; at least after director Owe Lingvall had created a censored version because the original had way too much blood! Songs like “The Bite”, “Steel-Winged Savage Reaper” and “At the Graveyard” also received heavy rotation on radio shows such as Bruce Dickinson's Friday Rock Show, Total Rock Radio UK, P3 Rock Sweden, numerous US shows and many more.

Line-up changes caused a slight set back for the band in late 2007, but after recruiting Anders “Tornado” Modd on bass and Richard “Raptor” Holmgren on drums alongside members Johannes “Axe” Axeman on guitar and backing vocals & Niklas “Viper” Stålvind on guitar and lead vocals, the band’s desire for pure metal exploded with refuelled energy and they started writing new songs and playing live again. “The energy we get from playing live is indescribable. We give 666% every time and we leave nothing to wish for. We hate watching bands that stand still and have no connection to the audience” says the band. Now, WOLF is ready to make metal history once again by recording the new album “Ravenous” with highly acclaimed producer Roy Z. Roy is known for his work with Judas Priest, Bruce Dickinson, Helloween, Halford, Malmsteen and many more. The band immediately knew that he was the man for the job. “The recording was a delight as we knew Roy is a fan of WOLF and also such a kick ass producer/musician that he managed to bring out the be(a)st in us”, comments the band. Having Hank Shermann (Force of Evil, Mercyful Fate) and Marc Boals (ex-Malmsteen) make guest appearances on the album really adds to the flavour of what is a delicious buffet filled with true heavy metal carnage. Add to that, the skills of long-time WOLF cover artist Thomas Holm, and you’ll have an album that will surely feed your appetite for real metal. Don’t you feel RAVENOUS?!

Dark Tranquillity

Biography :

A musical phenomenon born back in the early 90’s, Swedish Melodic death metal has had a huge impact on all kinds of modern heavy music and along with country mates In Flames and At The Gates, Gothenburg’s DARK TRANQUILLITY have defined the genre like no one else. With a unique sense for combining catchy, hard hitting metal with daring progressive elements they have developed a trademark sound hailed by fans and critics alike and have built a worldwide army of loyal supporters over the past 20 years!

Founded in 1989, DARK TRANQUILLITY celebrated their 20th anniversary in ’09 with the fantastic career spanning 2DVD/2CD release “Where Death Is Most Alive” (which charted on 1 in the Swedish DVD charts), an unforgettable DVD premier and party event, and now the time is nigh to present the much anticipated follow-up to 2007’s “Fiction”, which charted in Sweden, Germany, Greece, Finland and Italy and marked the band’s most successful album to date.

Entitled “We Are The Void”, the band’s ninth album picks up where its predecessor left and guarantees melodic death metal hits from start to finish that find an irresistible balance between untamed rage, progressive-tinged parts, captivating choruses and thought-provoking lyrics. Never afraid of taking chances and experimenting with refreshing new elements, the sextet succeeds to surprise the listener once again! Just take e.g. the black metal vibe on songs like the devastating opener “Shadow In Our Blood” or the almost apocalyptic “Arkhangelsk”, the furious Teutonic thrash-references in “I Am The Void” or the gloomy gothic-touch of the epic closing track “Iridium”. Songs like “Dream Oblivion”, “The Fatalist” and the melancholic “Her Silent Language” are prime examples for the band’s extraordinary sense to combine stellar musicianship with powerful hooks and catchy melodies. DARK TRANQUILLITY have mastered the art of melodic death over the last two decades and “We Are Void” is another undeniable proof for that.

The band’s follow-up to 2007’s “Fiction” was recorded at (bassist) Daniel Antonsson's Gothenburg Rock Studios and (keyboardist) Martin Brändström's Rogue Music and mixed and mastered by Tue Madsen at Antfarm Studio in Denmark.

After ending 2009 with the Darkness Over X-Mas dates the touring cycle for “We Are The Void” will kick off in early 2010 with a massive US run with Killswitch Engage and The Devil Wears Prada. European fans will be able to enjoy the band live during the upcoming festival season plus an extensive tour afterwards, so wherever you are DARK TRANQUILLITY shall fill the emptiness within us all with unforgettable modern and crushing melodic death metal!

Finntroll

Biography :

Overture

The last leaves have fallen in the old world of Europe. Trees are stripped to wooden skeletons, Winter is at its coldest. The old magic is fading away… FINNTROLL’s new album, a storm of old-world-laden, folk-rooted black metal called "Nifelvind", will be the sound that freezes souls as it blows from the grim North this February 2010

The Twilight of the Gods

It is a troubled tale that has been told many times before… Anno 1997: during a night of alcoholic carnage in Finland Teemu "Somnium" Raimoranta (guitar) and Jan "Katla" Jämsen (vocals) conceived of a band that fused the darkness and grandeur of black metal with the traditional Finnish hoedown-music. The resultant sound was FINNTROLL. The namesake came from an old Finnish legend where Swedish priests coming to Finland had an encounter with a wild-looking man who killed most of their party. The survivors came back bearing the tale of the FINNTROLL. Anno 1998: A year later Skrymer, Tundra, Trollhorn and the mighty Beast Dominator joined the band that soon became the biggest name in the rising Folk/Pagan Metal scene – even if they never aimed for sitting at the head of that table. FINNTROLL was soon to overcome the sort of obstacles that would have left most bands defeated and bleeding. Founding member Katla had to leave the band after the release of the second album "Jaktens Tid" (2001) because of severe throat problems. Shortly after, the other founding member Somnium died after tragically falling from a bridge. His legacy was continued by Routa, while Katla was replaced by Wilska who already left in 2006. Ultimately, it was with the final comrade in arms to join Vreth, on vocals, with whom the band reached their biggest successes including a legendary co-headline show at Wacken Open Air 2006 – well documented on the last album's "Ur Jordens Djup" bonus DVD.

Nifelvind

"Nifelvind" was recorded at Sonic Pump Studios (Apocalyptica, Amorphis, Ensiferum, etc.) in Helsinki, Finland and mastered by Mika Jussila (Children Of Bodom, Sonata Arctica, Him, etc.) at Finnvox Studios. The album cover artwork was done again by the band's own guitarist Skrymer. "Nifelvind" remains true to the FINTROLL mythos and ethos: According to Vreth the new album "is the most advanced and mature FINNTROLL-album to date, with musical themes ranging from powerful death metal riffs to dark soundtracks, from pounding black metal to groovy 80's pop-music. All this is accompanied by our trademark sound, lots of never-before-heard instruments in the metal-scene, folklore and legends that make it overall the most versatile album we have created so far.”

The lyrics are still written by the founding member Katla in Swedish. Both Katla and Vreth are part of the Swedish-speaking minority in Finland. "All cultures have similarities in their myths and folklore. Tales of bitter dead walking again, sagas of good and evil and songs of divine ascension..” states Katla. “That in some form probably date back to the beginning of speech and song, are a fascinating lore that maybe defines our humanity but also our feelings of loss concerning our contacts to nature and the bestiality that lies within every human being. This album is a celebration of those myths, some new some ageless. Some true, some complete nonsense. That is the nature of folklore. Under every root and stone lays a story heard but untold."

So follow the Blodmarsch of Nifelvind and don't miss FINNTROLL headlining the Paganfest in February/March 2010 supported by Eluveitie, Dornenreich and more.

Five Finger Death Punch - Ashes Lyrics

[V1:]
You don't understand me,
and you probably never will
A tendency to self destruct,
and a soft spot for the filth
A hair trigger temperament,
a switchblade for a tongue
Walking one-man genocide Black belt in corrupt

[Chorus:]
Everything I touch turns to ashes
Falls away,
falls away
Everything I touch turns to ashes
Slips right through my hands

Love me, hate me
Isolate me everyday that
I'm alive
Straight up mentally unstable
You don't have to like my life

[V2:]
I'm a jinx, a curse, some say,
"the worst" I'm a savage, rabid beast
I've been called so many fucking things,
it doesn't affect me in the least
I've stolen, lied,
been crucified but
I don't regret a thing (don't regret a thing)
I'm an egocentric masochist with a sadist's point of bleak

[Chorus:]

Everything I touch turns to ashes
Falls away,
it falls away
Everything I touch turns to ashes
Slips right through my hands

Love me, hate me
Isolate me everyday that I'm alive
Just to prove you wrong it's easy
When your heart is filled with ice.
Chapters in my life define me
Changed me into this deprived,
Straight up mentally unstable
You don't have to like my life

Everything I touch turns to ashes
Falls away,
falls away
Everything I touch turns to ashes
Slips right through my hands Read More...!!

The masses

Held the pass

For a piece of rise encasement

The failure of purest dream, or tyranny of human fools

The king of lizard..with a crown and the throne

Swallow a prussic cake,,

Terrific face,

Call away a demon to punish me off.

I feel infected by your presences

Youre going to die!!!

Blessed waif, stand in the way, sing feelingly

Make a shelter of rotten leaf...hope the azure come for her..

I won't let go,stealing my revenge

I don't need to know,

Unearth - Zombie Autopilot Lyrics

It was last night on the midnight train back home.

I ran into this one yet unfamiliar tone.

I knew i should have known.

It was last night.

I knew i should have known.

Chaos.

Our busy minds asleep.

We drudge across the land Is this the coming end of our monarchy harmless.

We meet increased demands.

Is this the life we all had in our dreams.

Our eternal nightmare all of us are blind to others.

Hide behind our plans to nothing.

Cage us.

We weep in self defeat.

All humanity is lost in this eternal nightmare.

All days are lost to conditioned zones.

All days are lost to what we know free us.

A piece of mind.

Gone are dreamers who strive to know.

All of us are blind

Shadows Fall

Biography :

Shadows Fall is an American heavy metal band from Springfield, Massachusetts, formed in 1995. They are one of the few contemporary metal bands who take their lyrical influence from Eastern philosophy. Although the band has experienced several line-up changes, for most of its recording career Shadows Fall has been composed of Brian Fair (vocals), Jonathan Donais (lead guitar), Matt Bachand (guitar), Paul Romanko (bass), and Jason Bittner (drums).

Shadows Fall have released six studio albums, two compilation albums, and two DVDs. The band's first album featured Philip Labonte on vocals, although he was soon replaced by Fair. Shadows Fall's first two studio albums featured David Germain playing drums, but in 2002 Bittner joined the band full time. In February 2008, the band was a Grammy Award nominee in the category Best Metal Performance for the song "Redemption" off the album Threads of Life.

History :

Formation, Somber Eyes to the Sky, and Of One Blood (1995–2000)

Shadows Fall formed in 1995 by guitarists Jonathan Donais and Matt Bachand with the help of Adam Dutkiewicz. Donais and Bachand recruited vocalist Philip Labonte, and bassist Paul Romanko to complete Shadows Fall's original line-up. The band released their debut EP, To Ashes, with Dutkiewicz playing as a session drummer. After the release of the demo Dutkiewicz left to form Killswitch Engage. David Germain joined the band as drummer, to fill the empty position. Shadows Fall toured the New England area opening for artists such as Fear Factory and Cannibal Corpse. The newly formed band recorded its first studio album Somber Eyes to the Sky, in November 30, 1997 through Bachand's recording label, Lifeless Records. The band's name, according to Bachand, comes from the title of a comic book published in the early 1990s.

In 1998, Labonte was asked to leave the band due to personal and artistic differences. He later formed the band All That Remains. The band looked for a replacement vocalist and found Brian Fair at an Overcast concert. After a US Summer tour with Shai Hulud, Overcast disbanded and the band asked Fair if he would like to join Shadows Fall. While on tour Shadows Fall was signed to Century Media Records. The band recorded its second studio album Of One Blood with Fair on vocals in 2000, the release included re-recorded songs from Somber Eyes to the Sky. In 2001, David Germain decided to leave the band due to alcoholism, and was replaced by former Stigmata drummer Jason Bittner.

The Art of Balance (2001–2003)

Due to repeated comparisons with Gothenburg melodic death metal bands, Shadows Fall decided to change its style to find its own sound. Inspired by more thrash, hard rock and power ballad influences, the band recorded its third studio album, titled The Art of Balance. Released on September 17, 2002, the album peaked at number 15 on the Billboard Top Independent albums chart. Shadows Fall released three music videos to promote the album; "Thoughts Without Words", "Destroyer of Senses", and "The Idiot Box". The Art of Balance featured a cover of the Pink Floyd song "Welcome to the Machine". Steve Huey of Allmusic stated the album is "a modern heavy metal album that is both brutal and highly musical, traditional yet forward-thinking", but criticized the placement of "Welcome to the Machine", stating the song "is stylishly well-executed, but seems a tad out of place nonetheless." Shadows Fall supported The Art of Balance by touring on Ozzfest in 2003.

The War Within (2004–2006)

Shadows Fall released its fourth studio album The War Within on September 21, 2004. It was the first release to enter the Billboard 200 for the band at number 20, and peaked at number one on the Top Independent albums chart. In promotion for the album, Shadows Fall released four music videos over the course of one year; "The Power of I and I", "What Drives the Weak", "Inspiration on Demand", and "Enlightened By the Cold". The song "What Drives the Weak" received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Metal Performance in 2006, however the award went to Slipknot for the song "Before I Forget". "The Light That Blinds" was featured in the video game Guitar Hero II. Wade Kergan of Allmusic praised the album stating the band has "grown beyond the confines of the metal-loving hardcore crowd anyway, with more in common now with the classic thrash of Metallica than the metal-tinged hardcore of Coalesce". As of 2008, the album has sold almost 300,000 copies in the United States.

Shadows Fall released its first DVD The Art of Touring in November 2005. The DVD included a live concert, backstage footage, and six music videos. The band released its final CD on Century Media Records, titled Fallout from the War on June 13, 2006. Released as a compilation album, it debuted at number 83 on the Billboard 200. Fallout from the War included tracks recorded for The War Within that did not make it on to the album, b-sides, re-recordings, and cover songs. David Jeffries of Allmusic claimed the album is "a great informal introduction to the ferocious and melodic witches' brew Shadows Fall always seems to nail."

Threads of Life (2007–2008)

Shadows Fall signed a deal with Atlantic Records to distribute the band's albums in the United States, and a deal with Roadrunner Records for international distribution. The band released its fifth studio album Threads of Life on April 3, 2007. "Redemption", the first single from the CD was released on February 20, 2007 through iTunes with an accompanying music video. "Redemption" received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Metal performance; the award ceremony as held on February 10, 2008. Slayer's "Eyes of the Insane" won the award. Thom Jurek of Allmusic stated Shadows Fall has "lost none of the fire, attack or attitude" on Threads of Life. Jurek also said the album featured "killer guitar breaks, big fat chugging riffs, power-slam skin work, cattle prod bass, and cool little hooks and melodic touches on top of those bludgeoning riffs make Threads of Life a major label debut of merit, and a metal record worthy of celebrating." Keith Bergman of Blabbermouth.net stated "Threads of Life is slick as hell."

Shadows Fall toured in support of Threads of Life, including making appearances at the Jägermeister tour with Stone Sour and Lacuna Coil, the Operation Annihilation tour with Static-X, 3 Inches of Blood, and Divine Heresy, and the Black Crusade tour with Trivium, Machine Head, Dragonforce, and Arch Enemy. The band was a part of the Soundwave tour in Australia and in Asia in February 2008, along with Killswitch Engage, As I Lay Dying, and Bleeding Through.

Retribution (2009 onward)

Shadows Fall released their sixth album, Retribution, on September 15, 2009, through the band's own label, Everblack Industries, which was created in conjunction with Warner Music Group's ILG, Ferret Music and ChannelZERO Entertainment. It is being released in the UK via Spinefarm Records. The album was produced by Chris "Zeuss" Harris. Drummer Jason Bittner recently stated about the band's new material, "The songs are a little more on the darker, angry side... lots of heaviness, lots of crazy guitar, and LOTS of room for me to have some fun. There is no doubt in my mind that this will be the best performance of my career, so far, and I owe that to my guys for bringing me incredible riffs to write killer drum parts to." As of the fall of 2009 the band was appearing on the 'Shock & Raw' tour of North America with 2Cents, Otep & Five Finger Death Punch. After a South American tour, Shadows Fall will be playing on the Jagermeister Stage in the 2010 Rockstar Mayhem Festival in July and August 2010. The band is also scheduled to support Lamb of God on their Australian tour in December Shadows Fall is pleased to announce their first and only New York City performance this year, taking place at Santos Party House on December 18th, 2010.

Shadows Fall released a live CD/DVD, Madness in Manila: Shadows Fall Live in The Philippines 2009, on October 26, 2010.

It has been hinted in an interview that Shadows Fall may head into the studio to record a new album sometime early 2011

The Showdown

Biography :

The Showdown is a Christian southern metal band, based in Elizabethton, Tennessee. Lyrically, their writing tells of heroism, sojourns and battles of life, most of which draws influence from Biblical aspects. As of 2008, they are signed to Solid State Records.

History :

A Chorus of Obliteration

Over time longtime metalhead Josh's metal influences saw 2540 morph from punk to metal. This change in style prompted a change of the band's name to "The Showdown". In 2003, Daniel left the band to get married at which time Andrew Hall took the drumming position. With Andrew on board the fivesome headed to the studio and recorded their first Full length album A Chorus of Obliteration. This album, produced by Bruce Fitzhugh, lead singer of Living Sacrifice, was mainly a mix of Hardcore and Metal.

Temptation Come My Way

After a great deal of touring in both the US and Europe, The Showdown went back to the studio to record their second full length album. This album took a different direction trading in the screaming double-bassing death metal for a more southern approach mixed with elements of their older style such as heavy guitar riffs, some screams (although not as dominated by them), and distinct bass and drum lines, drawing also from 1980s to early 1990s-era metal like Pantera, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, and Metallica. In the fall of 2006, The Showdown joined the Christian rock/alternative band Pillar on The Days of the Reckoning tour. The tour lasted from mid-October through November 2006 and also featured Christian rock bands Day of Fire and Decyfer Down. In late 2006, after completing the album, Andrew announced he was leaving the band to get married (and possibly to pursue a career in professional wrestling). Andrew was soon replaced by another Andrew - A.J. Barrette of Still Remains. Although the album was already completed, The Showdown along with A.J. hit the studio once more to record the track "Head Down" which would be added to the album before its release. The completed album, Temptation Come My Way was released on February 20, 2007. Unknown to the public until release, two different versions were released, one with the song "Fanatics and Whores", and one without, probably to avoid controversy in the Christian market. This upset many fans who had pre-ordered the CD and received the incomplete album, even though most distributors listed the song in their track listing. Temptation Come My Way received high popularity in the underground culture, and The Showdown was soon signed on March 21 of 2007 to play at Ozzfest 07.

Back Breaker

After extensive touring and popular reception, the band announced on their MySpace page that they had begun recording their next album on January 2008. On April 19, 2008, the Showdown completed their new album entitled Back Breaker. Back Breaker was released on August 19, 2008, with a style that is sort of a mix of their first two albums, along with the addition of a heavy groove style. Following the release they joined Shadows Fall on tour to promote Back Breaker. The Showdown released Back Breaker through Solid State Records. The Showdown toured with Norma Jean on The Anti-Mother Tour, which lasted throughout October and November 2008 and also featured Haste The Day, Mychildren Mybride, Children 18:3, and Oh, Sleeper. Children 18:3 was only on half of the tour dates (October 3 to October 26), while Oh, Sleeper filled in for the rest of the tour (October 28 to November 15). On April 13, 2009, the band announced that AJ drums and Eric bass would be leaving the band in order to spend more time with their families and other responsibilities. They were replaced by Timothy "Yogi" Watts of Demon Hunter on drums, and Jeremiah Scott of "Destroy Destroy Destroy" on bass. However, it was stated that AJ and Eric will rejoin the band for a show at the Ichthus Music Festival on June 13; however it did not happen. During the Ichthus Music Festival, Patrick Judge, new guitarist of acclaimed band Demon Hunter, took on the second guitar as a "fill in", according to Josh. His position in The Showdown is unknown, but he has toured with them extensively since then. Sigh

Biography :

Sigh (サイ, sai?) is a Japanese black metal band from Tokyo, formed in 1990. They are credited as being one of the first Japanese black metal bands, when the majority of black metal in early 1990s came from Scandinavia. They gradually shifted from a more traditional black/thrash metal sound, to a more experimental, avant-garde style.

History :

Sigh formed in 1990 in Tokyo, Japan. The band was signed by Euronymous' (of Mayhem fame) infamous label Deathlike Silence Records and released their first full-length album Scorn Defeat on DSP in 1993, shortly after Euronymous' death. The label ceased to exist shortly after his death and Sigh changed to Cacophonous Records.

After major disputes with Cacophonous over promotion and album rights, the band eventually found a new home at Century Media Records. Through this label they released their album Imaginary Sonicscape in 2001, which contained a more avant-garde elements than their previous work. In 2005 they released their full-length Gallows Gallery through yet another source, Candlelight Records/Baphomet Records. The band is now signed to The End Records that released Hangman's Hymn and reissued re-mastered versions of Gallows Gallery and Imaginary Sonicscape with revamped artwork and bonus tracks.

Heraklitos, ancient Greek philosopher, choose fire as a symbol of the substance of life. Similarly, in the myth of Prometheus, the fire is described as as a turn on life. The message reminds me of the words Achilles in the Iliad. He said "human death is something that is the envy of the Lord. Swallow The Sun

Biography :

Swallow the Sun is a Finnish melodic death / doom metal band.

History :

Swallow the Sun was formed in early 2000 by Juha Raivio, joined soon by Pasi Pasanen came along (both had played in Plutonium Orange). They rehearsed a couple of songs, one of them being "Through Her Silvery Body" which would end up on their first demo,Out of This Gloomy Light. In 2001 Markus Jämsen, whom Raivio and Pasanen already knew from their earlier bands, joined as a second guitarist, and Mikko Kotamäki from Funeris Nocturnum as singer; then Aleksi Munter (keyboards) and Matti Honkonen (bass), also of Funeris Nocturnum, joined the band. In the spring of 2002 they started arranging songs for the demo, which was recorded in January 2003 at Sam's Workshop with Sami Kokko, who also mixed the demo.

A record deal with Firebox Records was signed a few months after the recordings of the demo, and Swallow the Sun entered studio at late July 2003. During the following three weeks they recorded their debut album, The Morning Never Came.

In February 2005, Swallow the Sun released their second album, Ghosts of Loss. Their single, "Forgive Her...," gained 4th place on the Finnish Top 20 singles chart in its first week of release, and stayed on the charts for 6 weeks. Their album entered the charts as well: #8 in between Gwen Stefani and System of a Down.

During the year 2006 they signed to Spinefarm Records and did a small European tour. In January 2007 they released their third album, Hope, which includes a cover version of the Timo Rautiainen & Trio Niskalaukaus song "Alavilla mailla" (which they translated into "These Low Lands") as a bonus track on the digipack edition, sung by Tomi Joutsen, the frontman of fellow Finnish metal band, Amorphis. There is also a guest appearance by Jonas Renkse of Katatonia on the song "The Justice of Suffering." They went on a US tour with Katatonia, Scar Symmetry and Insomnium in late 2007.

In September 2008, they released an EP called Plague of Butterflies. In October, they announced a December tour of the UK of ten live shows supporting Apocalyptica.

On May 18th 2009 Swallow the Sun announced that Kai Hahto of Wintersun will be joining to fill the void left by former drummer Pasi Pasanen.

Swallow the Sun confirmed on 12 June that their next album would be entitled New Moon and is being produced by Jens Bogren, they also stated that Kai Hahto would be doing the drums on this album.

The Atrocity Exhibition

Biography :

The Atrocity Exhibition... Exhibit A is the eighth studio album by thrash metal band Exodus, released on October 23, 2007. This is the second album featuring Rob Dukes on vocals, but it also marks the second comeback of longtime original Exodus drummer Tom Hunting. Hunting's last appearance was on Exodus's 2004 album Tempo of the Damned. This also is the second Exodus album to feature Lee Altus on guitars.

The name of the album is the same as a planned album that was to be released by the Los Angeles thrash metal outfit Dark Angel in 1992.

Guitarist Gary Holt has stated it is named "Exhibit A" because Exodus had planned to release "Exhibit B" soon afterward.

On October 17 the entire album was uploaded on the band's MySpace page, however, many of the people that pre-ordered the album from CM Distro received it on October 19.

The single released from the album was "Funeral Hymn". There was also a music video released for "Riot Act".

The song "Riot Act" was released as DLC for the video game Rock Band 2 via the Rock Band Network on June 6, 2010.

The Haunted

Biography :

The Haunted is a Swedish heavy metal band, formed in 1996 in Gothenburg, Sweden. The original members were Patrik Jensen (also member of Witchery) (guitar), Jonas Björler (bass), Adrian Erlandsson (drums), Anders Björler (guitar), and Peter Dolving (vocals). Both of the Björler brothers and Erlandsson were members of seminal melodic death metal band At the Gates, a pioneering force in the Swedish death metal scene. All members (past and present) are from Gothenburg, Sweden, with the exception of Patrik Jensen, who is from Linköping, Sweden, Per Möller Jensen, who is from Denmark, and Marco Aro, who is from Finland.

History :

The Haunted (1996–2000)

The band released their first album, while signed to Earache Records, the selftitled debut The Haunted, in 1998. Before this, they had also made their demo, called Demo '97, in 1997. The album resulted in The Haunted being praised as Newcomer of the Year by several magazines, and the album being called Album of the Year by Terrorizer Magazine. The Haunted made a respectable live reputation staging the Swedish metal scene, as well the international scene, touring the UK with Napalm Death.

After the release of this album, Peter Dolving and Adrian Erlandsson both left the band in 1999, the latter joining Cradle of Filth.

The Haunted Made Me Do It (2000 – 2003)

Marco Aro was recruited as a new vocalist and Per Möller Jensen as drummer. Their second album, The Haunted Made Me Do It, released in 2000, was more melodic and resembled the Gothenburg style (with bands such as At The Gates, etc.) more than old-school thrash metal that was used on The Haunted. It is originally called "Made Me Do It", but it is meant for the band name to be included in the title. The Haunted Made Me Do It topped CMJ Loud Rock Radio Chart in four weeks, and won a Swedish Grammy for Best Hard Rock Album. The album was followed by European tours with Entombed and Nile, The Crown in UK, and In Flames in Japan. The Haunted played on festivals such as 2000 Decibel, Hultsfred (both in Sweden), Graspop (Belgium), and Wacken Open Air (Germany). The band subsequently released their first live album - Live Rounds In Tokyo.

In August 2001, guitarist/songwriter Anders Björler left the band and he was temporarily replaced by Marcus Sunesson of The Crown for The Haunted's headlining tour; in less than a year Björler returned to the band. This meant that he could appear on the third studio album.

One Kill Wonder (2003 – 2004)

The next album was released in February 2003 and was titled One Kill Wonder. The Haunted broke their own record being listed at number one on CMJ Loud Rock Radio Chart in five weeks. Alternative Press hailed The Haunted as one of metal's 25 most important bands. The album resulted in The Haunted dominating album charts all over the world, and their first tours to Australia and South Africa, another tour to Japan, and a second Grammy. After another tour to Scandinavia, North America, United Kingdom and Europe in the fall of 2003, the sudden departure of Marco Aro came as a shock. Though, this opened a new chance of building up a reunion with former vocalist Peter Dolving.

The song D.O.A., from this album, became available for download in March 2008 for the video game Rock Band, on the Xbox 360's Xbox Live Marketplace, and the PlayStation 3's PlayStation Network. Another song from the same album, Shadow World, was announced as a future download.

Revolver (2004–2006)

Their first album with Peter Dolving back at the helm (and signed by a new deal with Century Media), was entitled Revolver. The new album was released in October 2004 and named as it was to convey the evolution of the band and the music it plays as a whole. Revolver was met with a fair amount of fan support and critical acclaim, and the band toured the world extensively in support of it, including a second stage spot at Ozzfest 2005. On February 2 of 2005, Marco Aro played his last show in Stockholm, Sweden but as a guest singer. In 2006, the band performed on the Extreme The Dojo vol.15 tour in Japan with Exodus and Nile, while Edge of Spirit opened for them.

The Dead Eye (2006–2007)

The Haunted's fifth studio album, The Dead Eye, was released on October 30, 2006 in Europe and so far has been a huge success, showing a more sinister side to Dolving's vocals and a more technical, haunting musical display. It was released in the USA on October 31, 2006. They later toured Europe and toured with Dark Tranquillity, Into Eternity, and Scar Symmetry for the North America Metal For The Masses tour. They recently toured Europe for the Cursed Earth tour with bands like Wolf, Municipal Waste, and Lyzanxia and took a break to later return to play in tours and some shows in Russia.

Versus (2008–present)

Their sixth studio album, Versus, was released on September 17, 2008, in Sweden, September 19-24 in the rest of Europe, and October 14 in the USA. They are supporting Slayer on their August 2010 tour. Dolving has recently confirmed the writing of new material as well as a DVD release set for June 8 in North America. The band is set to record the new album on October 18.

In 2010, the band was confirmed as being part of the soundtrack for Namco Bandai Games' 2010 remake of Splatterhouse.

Tiamat

Biography :

Tiamat is a gothic metal band that formed in Stockholm, Sweden in 1988.

History :

Initially, the band played straightforward black metal under the name Treblinka. After having recorded the album Sumerian Cry in 1989, vocalist/guitarist Johan Edlund and bassist Jörgen Thullberg parted ways with the other two founding members, and subsequently changed the name to Tiamat. The Sumerian Cry album, as recorded by Treblinka, was released as Tiamat's debut album in June 1990.

After the debut, Edlund's leadership would modify the band's style with influences ranging from Mercyful Fate, Candlemass, Pink Floyd and King Crimson, with Sumerian lyrical themes. German guitarist Waldemar Sorychta would produce and contribute instrumentation to many of the band's albums, as well as those by Tiamat's own tour and labelmates, including Moonspell, Rotting Christ, Lacuna Coil and Samael.

1994's critically acclaimed Wildhoney mixed raw vocals, slow guitar riffs and synthesizer sounds which sounded different from other extreme metal bands active at that time. An almost continuous forty-minute piece of music, Wildhoney led to the band's appearances at the Dynamo and Wacken Open Air heavy metal festivals in 1995. The group would play a second gig at Dynamo two years later.

Upon the release of A Deeper Kind of Slumber (1997), Edlund relocated from Sweden to Germany and declared himself the only permanent member of the band; all albums that would follow would cement the band into a more gothic rock sound, quite different from the extreme music they did in the years before, with recent albums showing a Sisters of Mercy and Pink Floyd influence.

The band signed to Nuclear Blast Records in June 2007, and released their new album Amanethes on April 18, 2008.

On August 10, 2008, Thomas Wyreson announced that he was quitting the band, stating that "it's just kinda hard to make everything work with the family etc."

Valient Thorr

Biography :

Valient Thorr is an American rock band from Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

History :

Valient Thorr began playing together in 2000. Their first show was on Easter of 2001. They released two demos, "Raw" and "We Come From The Morning Star". Following the demos, Valient Thorr self-released their first album on July 1, 2003 (only pressing 1000 copies which were sold at shows), Stranded on Earth, which had the same musical setup as present, but one of the guitarist, Jjinn Thorr, used a keyboard, 'ic. They packed hometown shows all over North Carolina and at their local favorite venue Kings Barcade. They did their first major tour of the United States and Canada shortly afterward, doing 47 shows in 52 days.

After replacing original drummer Donn Thorr with current drummer Lucian Thorr and ditching the keyboard entirely live and on release, they were soon signed to Volcom Entertainment, where their full-length album Total Universe Man was released on June 7, 2005. At that point, upon completion of several master's degrees, the group members gave up their regular jobs and set out on the road. They performed on the Volcom stage on the Warped Tour 2005, for the entire tour, except for a few shows where they played the main stage. They continued touring, taking only six days off for Thanksgiving and ten for Christmas. Along the way, they lost their original rhythm guitarist, Jjinn Thorr, and replaced him with Bjorn Thorr to finish off the end of the year. They played in Hawaii with Andrew WK and then began 2006 by going on tour with Hot Rod Circuit and Piebald. After his departure, Eiden Thorr took Jjinn's old position at shows, moving from Stage Right (the position he held since the band's inception) to Stage Left.

In February 2006, they stopped briefly in Costa Mesa, California to write the follow-up to Total Universe Man.

After Bjorn Thorr's brief stint, guitarist Odinn Thorr was asked to join the band. On July 11, 2006 they released their follow up album, Legend of the World. They toured the entire Warped Tour again for the summer of 2006 playing the Volcom Stage, with the exception of a few main stage slots, including the hometown stop in Raleigh, where they closed out the night after NOFX and AFI on one of the two mainstages to a packed crowd. They continued to tour throughout 2006, including a tour with Joan Jett and the Black Hearts, Eagles of Death Metal, and ending the year touring with Gogol Bordello. Valient Thorr played 272 shows in 2006. Taking no time off for Thanksgiving in 2006, and only 2 days for Christmas, they drove back to California to play New Year's Eve at the Viper Room in Hollywood. In January 2007 Odinn Thorr was replaced by Voiden Thorr(guitarist for Texas metal duo Golden Axe). Valient Thorr continued to tour right through 2007, beginning with a four month tour with Fu Manchu. They did two months in the US, and then traveled overseas for the first time, playing Europe, the UK, and Scandinavia. They returned home, and co-headlined the very first Volcom Tour with labelmates the Riverboat Gamblers. They ended the year by returning to Germany to tour with Motörhead for three weeks, and then returned home without a day off to do three weeks with the Sword. Valient Thorr wrote the follow-up to "Legend of the World" in Costa Mesa, California, which was produced by Jack Endino and recorded by him in Seattle. It was named "Immortalizer", and was Valient Thorr's fourth album in five years. It was released on June 17th, 2008.

The song "Fall of Pangea" is an unlockable song in Harmonix's game Guitar Hero II.

The song "Heatseeker" was featured in Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory, and is used as a song track in EA's racing video game Need for Speed: Carbon.

The song "Man Behind The Curtain" appeared in EA's skate. video game.

In late May 2008 Valient himself went under the blade in order to donate his kidney to his diabetic earth father

Three weeks after recovering from kidney donation surgery Valient Himself and the band returned to Europe and played their biggest shows to date including the Download Festival in Donington, and Graspop in June of 2008. They continued to tour Europe that summer and returned home to tour with Early Man, Monotonix, and Skeletonwitch and then again in the fall with Motorhead, the Misfits, Year Long Disaster, and ASG on the Volcom Tour 2008.

The next few months were filled with events. -On November 11, 2008 Valient Thorr released In Heat, a feature length documentary about the last five years on the road. -They also played ECFU Turbojugend Fest in Atlanta on Halloween 2008, The Fest in Gainesville, Florida in November, and toured Hawaii in December. -On January 30, 2009 they did a full set for a local charity playing as Funkadelic in Raleigh, NC. -On February 5 they played in East River Park with Anthrax for Red Bull's Snowscraper Event. -On March 7th they played the Harvest of Hope festival in St Augustine Florida and toured the US out to SXSW 2009.

Venomous Concept

Biography :

Venomous Concept is a hardcore punk band; the name itself is a play on Poison Idea.

Wednesday 13

Biography :

Joseph Poole, better known as Wednesday 13 (born August 12, 1976), is a rock musician from Charlotte, North Carolina. He is most famous for his role as the frontman of the Murderdolls. He has also played in several other bands, including Frankenstein Drag Queens from Planet 13, Wednesday 13, Bourbon Crow and most recently Gunfire 76.

Poole currently resides in Landis, North Carolina Poole is a huge fan of campy horror movie parodies and mildly macabre TV shows such as The Munsters and The Addams Family (the latter being the source of his "Wednesday" moniker), which influence his tongue-in-cheek lyrics. He also created a set of cartoon characters with his wife called the Thirteen Dead Kids, which was released as a clothing line. A book was supposed to be released, though this was halted due to Poole's touring schedule and the lack of publisher.

Musical Career :

Psycho Opera and Maniac Spider Trash

Poole's musical career began in 1992 when he played guitar in the band Mizery which later became Psycho Opera which featured guitarist Abby Normal, drummer Jeff Washam, bassist Michael Patrick and lead vocalist Todd Cage. Poole left the band to form Maniac Spider Trash as lead vocalist alongside Abby Normal (again on guitar) and Michael Patrick (also filling his earlier role as bassist), they were joined by Sicko Zero on drums. Poole fronted the band from 1992 through 1996. The band released one EP entitled Dumpster Mummies on Dead Hell Records in 1994. This was followed by an album titled Murder Happy Fairytales in 1995 which remains unreleased. The band then disbanded. Dumpster Mummies EP will be re-issued 5 October 2010.

Frankenstein Drag Queens From Planet 13

Poole went on to form the Frankenstein Drag Queens from Planet 13, which included Maniac Spider Trash's guitarist and drummer; Abby Normal and Sicko Zero, respectively. The band featured several different guitarists, bassists and drummers over the years leaving Poole to continue as the only original member. Sicko Zero was the last member to quit the band. Shortly after Poole was forced to form another line up before joining The Murderdolls. Poole not only formed FDQ, he also wrote and produced every album. Between 1996 and 2002, Frankenstein Drag Queens from Planet 13 released five studio albums and six EPs with various revolving members. They were also featured on tribute albums for Alice Cooper, and Sweet. Poole stopped performing as FDQ in 2002 when Poole joined Murderdolls.

In May 2006, Frankenstein Drag Queens from Planet 13 announced their reunion, which was followed by a tour with one of Poole's idols, Alice Cooper, and a box set of the band's complete discography, entitled Little Box of Horrors. The band featured Sicko Zero on drums and former FDQ guitarist Abby Normal on bass. The band broke up once again shortly after the box set was released.

Murderdolls

Poole was contacted by Joey Jordison of Slipknot with the intention of joining Jordison's new band, Murderdolls. Originally formed as a collaboration between Jordison and Tripp Eisen of Static-X, Poole was revealed as the driving force of the band after he switched from bass guitar duties to lead vocalist and frontman.

The Murderdolls released one EP in 2002, Right to Remain Violent, to promote their forthcoming album of the same year, Beyond the Valley of the Murderdolls. Most of the songs on the album were rerecorded versions of songs by Poole's previous band, Frankenstein Drag Queens from Planet 13. A total of two singles were released from the LP including a cover of Billy Idol's White Wedding. The album reached #40 on the UK album chart.

Murderdolls played their last show on January 17, 2004 in Corona, California. After this they went on an indefinite hiatus with Jordison returning to Slipknot. Since this hiatus begun, both Poole and Jordison maintained that the band did not split up for good, and that they would return to record a second album together in the future.

In February 2010, whilst embarking on a solo tour in Australia, Poole spoke with Drum Media saying "Right now, it's the worst week, and I keep getting asked that question: 'What are my future plans? The next step after this?' It's kind of hard to say. We're possibly going to do another Wednesday record, record it in the summer and have it out around Halloween. Or the other option is... we're in talks right now to do another Murderdolls album. So right now I don't know which of the two is going to happen, of course if Murderdolls is possible then we have to do that, it's gotta be the number one priority." He adds "It's just talks right now. The whole Murderdolls thing, it's the band that me and Joey put together, and right now we're having the same conversations that we were having in the very beginning of the band, 'What direction, what kind of music are we doing this time?' All the small talk stuff like that, so it's far away from getting in that room with the full band or something like that - right now we're just trying to get a game plan together."

In March 2010 Jordison officially revealed to Kerrang Magazine that Murderdolls had officially reunited with him and Poole working with producer Chris ‘Zeuss’ Harris. Joey said about the reunion “It’s been an ongoing conversation between Wednesday and I from 2006 until now. We were bored with everything out there, and thought we had something to piss people off and shake things up. Everything is such a product or a fucking formula these days... Fuck formula! Fuck the norm!”

The Murderdolls officially released their second album titled "Women and Children Last" on August 21, 2010. They are touring with Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie.

Wednesday 13

After the Murderdolls went on hiatus in 2004, Poole went on a solo tour of the United Kingdom in March 2004, called the "Graveyard A Go-Go" tour. For his live performances he was joined by members of Florida horror punk band Death Becomes You, though this was not meant to be permanent.

Poole returned to North Carolina in June 2004 he began to put together a more permanent band, with whom he would perform with under the Wednesday 13 name. He brought in a former Frankenstein Drag Queens member Ikky on guitar. The band took heavily influenced by the likes of KISS and Alice Cooper, while at the same time not straying far from Poole's previous horror punk related projects. In September 2004 Ikky was replaced with Matt Montgomery also known as Piggy D. Together the Wednesday 13 band toured Europe in November 2004 on the "Look What the Bats Dragged In" tour, some of the dates were supported by English rockers Viking Skull.

In 2005 after touring, Poole released his debut album "Transylvania 90210", and made a promotional video for the track "I Walked with a Zombie", the video depicted the band members in footage from the original Night of the Living Dead horror movie. Following the albums release the group embarked on a tour of the United Kingdom; "Tour from the Crypt". Also in 2005 they played on the main-stage of Download Festival at Donington, the group also opened some shows for their idol, Alice Cooper around Halloween of 2005.

Poole parted ways with Roadrunner Records, before signing a new deal with Rykodisc, with whom he released Fang Bang, the follow-up to "Transylvania 90210", on September 12, 2006. The European version of the album contains a cover of Motorhead's "R.A.M.O.N.E.S." The Japanese edition features the same track listing as the European CD, along with an extra bonus song: "Good Day to Die". The American edition features "Burn the Flames", a Roky Erickson cover as it's sole bonus track.

Skeletons was released on April 29, 2008, available exclusively through Hot Topic locations in the United States. It was released in the UK on May 12, 2008 by DR2 Records a new subdivision of Demolition Records. The album was heavily promoted on the social networking site, Myspace.

On November 14, 2008, Poole released his first live album entitled Fuck It, We'll Do It Live. The CD/DVD package was recorded in 2008 at Crocodile Rock in Allentown, Pennsylvania. For distribution of this album, Wednesday 13 chose to release it exclusively through Hot Topic, just as he had for his previous album Skeletons.

Bourbon Crow

Since 2005 Poole, under the Alias of Buck Bourbon, has also maintained an outlaw country side project: Bourbon Crow, which features former Wednesday 13 bassist Rayen Belchere (Kid Kid) under the alias of Jessie Crow. Wednesday 13 was in contact with former drummer Jeff Washam from Psycho Opera and was going to tour on the East Coast project. Scheduling prevented JW from doing the tour. The band released their first album in 2006, titled Highway to Hangovers, and their second album Long Way To The Bottom was released in 2009.

Gunfire 76

Poole teamed up with Todd Youth (of the The Chelsea Smiles) to write and record a CD with, as Poole has mentioned in interviews, a more of a rock sound and without any horror themes, under the new band name; Gunfire 76. Rough mixes of the albums title track Casualties & Tragedies were uploaded onto the bands myspace on August 12, 2009 for the fans to get an idea of what the band sounded like and the album debuted on October 6, 2009. Gunfire 76 toured December '09 and January '10 with Bullets and Octane on the First Blood tour.

Whitechapel

Biography :

Whitechapel is an American deathcore band from Knoxville, Tennessee. Since their inception in 2006, the band has released three studio albums and four music videos and are currently signed to Metal Blade Records. Whitechapel are notable for employing three guitarists, each of which perform specific parts during performances. Their band name is derived from a district in the built-up inner city of London, known as Whitechapel.

History :

Formation and The Somatic Defilement (2006—2007)

Whitechapel was founded in February 2006 by Knoxville residents Phil Bozeman, Brandon Cagle, and Ben Savage. They were soon joined by Alex Wade (formerly of Redwinterdying), later Whitechapel guitarist Zach Householder, Gabe Crisp, and Derek Martin, and recorded their first demos in March of that year. They named themselves after the location in London known as Whitechapel where the occurrence of the infamous Whitechapel murders were committed by Jack the Ripper. In 2007 the band signed to Siege of Amida Records in the United Kingdom, and Candlelight Records in North America, and later acquired new drummer Kevin Lane and released their debut full-length album The Somatic Defilement in June of that year.

This Is Exile (2007—2010)

In October 2007, the group signed to Metal Blade Records, and in 2008 released their second album entitled This Is Exile. The album reached #118 in the Billboard Top 200. In May 2008, the band toured on The Summer Slaughter Tour, and in August 2008, they began their first ever headlining tour with Impending Doom, A Different Breed of Killer, and Through the Eyes of the Dead.

In 2008 they were starting to tour with more popular bands such as Parkway Drive and Unearth on the Never Say Die! tour. They have produced a video for the song "Possession", along with one for "This Is Exile". Whitechapel has also toured on the Rockstar Mayhem Festival on the Hot Topic Stage along with the bands Job for a Cowboy, Cannibal Corpse, Behemoth and The Black Dahlia Murder, and alongside bands of the main stage such as Slayer and Marilyn Manson, who headlined the tour.

Whitechapel toured with Darkest Hour and Trivium on their 2009 and 2010 "Into the Mouth of Hell We Tour".

A New Era of Corruption (2010—present)

Whitechapel recorded their follow-up album to This Is Exile from December 27th to March 31st with Jason Suecof as the chosen producer. The band early-on announced a summer 2010 release date for the record. The name of the album was later confirmed to be A New Era of Corruption.

A song from A New Era of Corruption entitled, "The Darkest Day of Man" was performed live before the album's release. Months later it was released as streaming media online. A New Era of Corruption was released on June 8, 2010.

Whitechapel's focus on mass exposure over their small, dedicated following has provided them with featured spots in both California Metal Fest IV and 2010's Warped Tour. They have also been announced to play Download festival in 2010, and will be a part of the second stage showcased. A headlining US tour with Impending Doom, Oceano, I Declare War and Miss May I has been confirmed.

Wayd

Biography :

Wayd is a technical/progressive death metal band with jazz influence from Prešov, Slovakia.

History :

The death metal band Wayd was founded in the year 1994 when thrash metal band MARION and death metal band DYSENTERY fused together. Both of them were just small bands known only in the regional underground scene as conventional metal bands. However, the very first beginnings of Wayd are connected with the effort to break the borders between the styles, as well as the effort to create more experimental and musically richer compositions.

Wayd was set up by Milan Savko (vocals and guitars), Braňo Kóša (drums), Richard Mayer (guitars) and Drahoš Juřík (bass guitar and vocals). Even though these four members stayed faithful to "Wayd", some small changes occurred in the line-up.

They mix the styles of jazz, death metal and progressive creating their music.
