Earth Crisis

Biography :

One of the most anticipated and talked about reunions of 2008 was without a doubt the reformation of EARTH CRISIS. The pioneers of the hardcore, straight edge movement have now officially made the decision to carry on with the band fulltime and are proud to announce a new worldwide deal with Century Media Records. The group have crafted their most angst ridden and unrelenting offering of their already stellar career and this effort is going to serve as a much needed wake up call to the masses.

The Syracuse NY-based quintet EARTH CRISIS’ chugging riffs and barked declarations served as the mouthpiece of America's vegan, straight-edge movement throughout the '90s, detailing the ideas of animal and human liberation, drug-free living, and personal empowerment through hardcore song. Their vicious debut EP, Firestorm, was a landmark release for the hardcore scene that combined staccato, solo-free metal with barking, political, and militant vocals. The lyrics centered around the dangers of drug abuse and bringing "violence against violence" to drug dealers and those who would abuse animals: "a firestorm to purify."

EARTH CRISIS’ message of human, animal and environmental liberation has caused shockwaves that resonated beyond the music industry. They have received national media coverage on CNN (Earth Matters), TBS, FOX (America's Most Wanted), CBS (48 Hours), MTV (Music News) and ABC (World News Tonight). Charismatic vocalist Karl Buechner has spoken in front of members of Congress about teens and substance abuse. EARTH CRISIS epitomizes commitment, fortitude, and resilience and is an established and embraced trademark in the international metal, hardcore and punk communities.

EARTH CRISIS has continued along this path of breaking new ground, constantly working and reaching more people spreading their message to the masses. In 1996, the band released their second full-length album, Gomorrah's Season Ends, a polished and decidedly more metallic affair that produced even more anthems that became sing along worthy staples of their live performances. This exposed the band to a whole new mainstream audience. Their relentless touring has put them in front of countless national and international audiences - from the U.S. to Canada, to Europe, Japan and South America. In October 1999, they played Bogota, Columbia's Rock al Parque Festival for over 120,000 people. They have toured with bands ranging from Sepultura, Misfits, and Downset, to Snapcase, Madball and Skarhead. In 1996, they even appeared on the first ever Ozzfest along with the accompanying live CD and video that resulted from the event.

Buechner’s astounding range and vocal depth has positioned him as one of the strongest voices in rock. The musical backbone of the band has never been stronger from both songwriting and musicianship perspectives. Guitarists Scott Crouse and Erick Edwards’ sometimes pulverizing and jagged, sometimes soothing sonic barrages round out the musical savagery. Bassist Ian Edwards and drummer Dennis Merrick provide the most calculated, spontaneous and convincing percussion backdrop in hard music today. Physically the band is in its best condition ever and is determined to take over every stage, audience, and venue that they invade. In 2009, EARTH CRISIS prepares to unleash a firestorm of epic proportions proving that their message is more viable than ever. Read More...!!

Begundal Lowokwaru

Biography :

Waku demi waktu mulai bergulir, lagu-lagu seperti Road To The Bottle (Equality), Oi! Seplok, ataupun Saudara Sebotol mulai akrab dikumandangkan.
Masa kurang bergeliatnya Begundal Lowokwaru pun berlangsung cukup lama. Dalam kurun waktu tersebut Begundal Lowokwaru hanya menghasilkan 1 lagu untuk kompilasi Patriot 666 Records Bali berjudul And The Bottle For All, dan juga rilis dari Realino Records Oi! Penalti.

Condemned

Biography :

It began in Imperial Beach, CA in April 2004. Forrest Stedt (drums) and Steve Crow (guitar) wanted to get back into music making. At first, Forrest and Steve played in a garage just throwing around ideas and writing songs. Shortly after, one of their oldest friends Paul Hickey (bass) was added. For a while it was just writing music and thinking up a band name. It was decided on the name CONDEMNED. The name fit well with their ideas. After a little over a year of practicing in Forrest's garage it was decided best to move on to another place to rehearse due to time constraints affecting creativity. They found a rehearsal building shortly after and moved in. CONDEMNED started working even harder and making the band into something more serious thanks to new found freedom and began writing for a future album. In July 2005, Condemned added second guitarist Chris Ben-Judah (guitar). After a considerable amount of time searching for a vocalist, Forrest and Steve decided to write lyrics and share vocal duties on the demo and use it as an ad for a vocalist with the same vision. However, in late September 2005 they received a response from Angel Ochoa (vocals) and decided to try him out.

After a single demonstration of Angel's disgusting ability he was added as the final piece of Condemned. With Angel, CONDEMNED's sound was finally complete and in November 2005, Condemned recorded their "Mass Burial" demo. The demo spread out fast and created a good name for them in the brutal death metal scene. With that, a new brutal death metal band is spawned and ready to destroy. Condemned has since parted with bassist Paul Hickey and guitarist Chris Ben-Judah, and have recruited bassist Mario Pena and guitarist Jerry Williams at the time. CONDEMNED was soon in search of a label to help put out their debut album and was consequentially contacted by Zdenek of Lacerated Enemy Records. After a considerable amount of discussion they signed with LE Records, together they created and released their first full-length album entitled "Desecrate the Vile". in 2007 Condemned have built a strong fan base internationally and have toured through Japan, Europe, and through the U.S. in support of the album. Condemned have since parted ways with 2nd guitarist Jerry Williams and continued to work as a 4 piece. In Fall of 2008, Condemned inked a deal with Erik and Unique Leader Records, and to prepare for the new release of the 2nd coming album entitled "Realms of the Ungodly". In November of 2008, Condemned have ended their long awaited search of filling in the slot for a new 2nd guitarist. They added "Paul Avila" to the Condemned crew as a permanent member, and to be a full part of all that is contained for the future of the band. Condemned has continued to maintain touring and writing for the next release which is expected to be released in mid or late 2010. Read More...!!

50 Lions

Biography :

50 Lions are an Australian band from Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia. The band is named after a poker machine called '50 Lions'.

History  :

In 2006, they released their self-titled 7", which sold out within 3 months of its release. Later that year, they released their debut album, Nowhere To Run, through Washed Up Records.[1]  They then released Time Is The Enemy through Resist Records.[2]

In 2006 they did a tour with Australian band I Killed The Prom Queen.[3] At the beginning of 2008, the band played alongside Parkway Drive in 14 out of 15 dates during the Surf Rat Tour.[4] They have since released a split CD with American band Down To Nothing.

After their European tour, they will be doing a tour of Australia with Blacklisted, and then will be a part of the annual Hardcore festival in Sydney.[5][6]

50 Lions vocalist Oscar McCall is the brother of Parkway Drive vocalist Winston McCall.[7]

In December 2010, they released a new song on a split 7" with Australian bands Parkway Drive, No Apologies and Blkout entitled, This is Australia. The 7" was released by good friend and No Apologies vocalist Pete 'Bloke' Abordi on Abordi's very own Bloke Records. The goal was to release one song each by four prominent Australian hardcore bands with each song being under a minute in length.

The band continues to perform at metal festivals across Europe, despite their waning popularity and tenuous link to music royalty through familial relations with Parkway Drive.

Tours :

Throughout their short career they have toured with bands such as Rise Against, Parkway Drive, I Killed The Prom Queen, Evergreen Terrace and Comeback Kid.[8]

In November 2009, 50 Lions teamed up with Baltimore's Trapped Under Ice for a national tour of Australia. The tour will cover Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Byron, Sydney and Perth. 25 ta Life

Biography :

25 ta Life is an American  band from New York City, originally formed in Queens, N.Y.  in mid-1991.

History :

The band was started by Frank Smarra (Bass) and Harry Minas (Drums) in Astoria, Queens, N.Y., they were soon joined by Fred Mesk (Guitar) and together wrote most of the material that would be on their early releases.

In early 1992 they recruited former Agnostic Front roadie Rick Healy (AKA Rick ta Life) who added the lyrics to all the songs. They adopted the name after it was suggested by Freddie Madball. Madball also helped the band by giving them guest appearances at the end of their sets. 25 ta Life played their first full show at Studio 1 in New Jersey on May 10, 1993 supporting Obituary. After a few failed attempts to add a second Guitar player, Beto (formally of D'mize & Madball) joined the band in late 1993. In January 1994 Bassist and co-founding member Frank Smarra left the band due to family commitments and was replaced by Warren Lee. The Band continued to play massive amounts of shows in the tri-state area and all along the East Coast. In early 1996 25 ta Life traveled to Europe for the first time playing in Italy, Germany, Austria, Belgium and Poland. By late 1997 co-founding member Harry Minas left the band and was replaced by Seth Meyer from One4One.

25 ta Life opened for Agnostic Front's reunion show at the Wetland in December 1996 and then played all of AF's East Coast Dates along with Madball, Hatebreed and H2O in early 1997. They went to Japan in April 1997. Warren and Beto left in May 1997 after the West Coast Tour. Mike from One4One joined on Bass in June 1997 and they went to Europe in July 1997. In October-November 1997, Biohazard took 25 ta Life on a short 8 show tour of the East Coast from Washington DC to Boston. Seth left the band in February 1998 and was replaced by Rob Pallotta. Grave Dancers

Biography :

It all started from Martyr and Jabarantas who has been trying to set up a new jamming project alongside with Murph, and K.C, jamming up to play old tunes from Early 80's thrash / speed metal.
Not long after we’re satisfied with the first rehearsal, we're all agreed to make routine rehearsal for this band, name was our main priority on that time, cause we wanna something different to spell it out loudly, several of crappy & ass licking names came out, in the end ,GRAVE DANCERS become our last option.
After a few months of jamming together, the needs of a second guitar player was highly urgent, thus we asked Demon to join us in this club. We're pretty much influenced by oldschool crossover but most of them are overpowering metal, think of 1 part metallic grind added with crunchy hardcore riffs, raw bass sound, fast paced intense drumming, and raw yelling vocals.
Lyrically we are inspired by huge collection of thoughts, human interest stories and social theme. The line has drawn, we're ready to rock, for sure!

Fist of Therapy

Biography :

Fist Of Therapy ( F.O.T ) was established in the middle of 1997. Their first line-up was M’beng (throat) and Fery (guitar). At that time, F.O.T started with something minimalistic, until in the end of 1997, they were advancing their band with the new members; Iman (drum) and Ilham (bass) which once were only filled with additional / temporary players. F.O.T was highly influenced by some "Hero Hardcore Bands" like STRIFE and SNAPCASE by whom they described their music as Modern Hardcore. Unfortunately in the middle of 1999 and at the end of 2000, two of the band members (Iman and Ilham) couldn't follow the band's struggle due to their overwhelming activities outside the band and so they proposed their resignation. F.O.T still could maintain their existence with the help of some good musician buddies who were willing to professionally fill the lacuna, yet then some of them finally joined the band as members.

From all additional / temporary players joined, F.O.T, got some good musicians like Al (PURGATORY), Reza (QISHASH, Ad.REACTION), Alex (ex:REVITOL), Reza Patkay (END OF AGE, PAPER GANGSTER), Hell-me (PAIN KILLER), Aryomc (FLAMING ICARUS, DAGGER STAB) and Andri (THEATHAN). F.O.T got through some inspirational experiences in playing music and so they got more mature view in creating the music and the lyrics as well. The lyrics themselves are more in to love which is described with dark and hazing atmosphere, similar as most of other metal core bands appear like.

Their recent line-up they're having; Mbeng in Throat, Ferry in Guitar, Die in Guitar [ex. Purgatory's guitarist], Antou in Bass [Finish Irene] and Boim in drums has strengthen their music quality process that is still running until now.

F.O.T has joined some of compilation albums such as “REVOLUTION OF SOUNDS” released by Sony BMG (2005) and “Asian-European Indie Today” compilation By Sampah Project Records (2007). As they consider that the latest compilation is one of their highest achievements, coz their single titled “Falling In Lost” was released in all countries included in this compilation; 4 countries in Eastern Europe and 4 others in Asia region.

Their music influence comes from some good hardcore / metal core bands such as RED ROSES FOR A BLUE LADY, EVERYTIME I DIE, NORMA JEAN, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, EIGHTEEN VISIONS, GLASSJAW, SNAPCASE, STRIFE, CONVERGE, PANTERA and HIM.

After being delayed for more than 5 years, they finally released their newest album titled "Romantic Love In Melancholy". It includes 10 songs and "Sleep Forever" as their single. They are working together with Ripple Magazine in distributing the album and some of media like Dapurletter.com also helps in promoting, and last but not least Bugsy helps in merchandising them.

With hope to be exist as long as they can, they keep in improving their music with something fresh and new, of course in order to give new good and unique nuance in underground music, especially in the hardcore scene.

Fleshgod Apocalypse

Biography :

Fleshgod Apocalypse is an Italian technical death metal band.

History :

Fleshgod Apocalypse was formed in April 2007 and recorded their first demo, Promo '07, at 16th Cellar Studio with producer Stefano “Saul” Morabito, releasing it shortly after. The demo was re-released the following year on a split CD with fellow Italian bands Septycal Gorge, Modus Delicti and Onirik. Fleshgod Apocalypse then signed to Neurotic Records. In early 2008 the band toured Europe, supporting bands like Behemoth, Origin, Dying Fetus, Hate Eternal, Suffocation, Napalm Death and many more.

In May 2008, the band recorded its first full-length album, Oracles. In December of that year the band decided to part ways with Neurotic Records and signed with Willowtip Records, who released Oracles in 2009.

Shortly after the release of Oracles in 2009, the band had a lineup change, with a new member, Tommasso Ricardi taking over vocals and rhythm guitar, which were previously handled by Francesco Paoli, as Paoli took over the drums at this time.

In 2010, Fleshgod Apocalypse released a new EP entitled Mafia. It includes four new tracks and a cover of the track "Blinded by Fear" by At the Gates.

Until 2010, current Fleshgod Apocalypse drummer Francesco Paoli was simultaneously in his former band Hour of Penance doing vocals, as well as drumming in Fleshgod Apocalypse. Also in 2010, another new member, Francesco Ferrini, was added to the band to play keyboards. Ferrini had previously played session keyboards on Oracles and Mafia.

In May 2011, the band signed a worldwide deal with German record label Nuclear Blast Records. The band released their second album, Agony, on August 9, 2011 in North America and August 19, 2011 in Europe. The iTunes version of Agony also includes a cover of the track "Heartwork" by Carcass.

Fleshgod Apocalypse took part in the 2011 Summer Slaughter Tour in North America, alongside co-headliners Whitechapel and The Black Dahlia Murder. The band toured the US with Polish band Decapitated in late 2011. They are currently touring the UK with The Black Dahlia Murder and Skeletonwitch.

Behemoth

Biography :

Behemoth is a Polish blackened death metal band from Gdansk, formed in 1991. They are considered to have played an important role in establishing the Polish extreme metal underground, alongside bands such as Vader, Decapitated, Vesania and Hate.

Until the late 1990s, the band played a traditional black metal style with heathen lyrical content, but soon changed to that of occult and thelemic themes written by their lead vocalist Nergal and Krzysztof Azarewicz. With the 1999 release of Satanica, the band showed their presence in the blackened death metal scene, while retaining their own signature style characterized by the drum work of Inferno, multi-layered vocals and Middle-Eastern influences. Despite the fact that Behemoth has been labeled as death metal, black metal or thrash-influenced, Nergal has mentioned that he does not like the band to be labeled.

History :

Early career and first five albums (1991–2000)

Behemoth was formed in 1991 as a trio, with Nergal on guitar and vocals, Baal on the drums, and Desecrator on the guitar. They started with the demos Endless Damnation, and The Return of the Northern Moon. The most significant however, was the third demo—...From the Pagan Vastlands (1993). This tape was released by Polish label Pagan Records and later on by the American Wild Rags. Their next release was Sventevith (Storming Near the Baltic) in 1995. A year later, they recorded their second album Grom, which was released in 1996. Grom features many different influences and musical styles, using female vocals as well as acoustic guitars and synthesizers. At the same time, Behemoth finally got a chance to play live shows in its native country and finally tour around Europe, gaining stage experience. Two years later, the band recorded a third album, titled Pandemonic Incantations. The cumilation of their increasing presence and metal media set a new standard for them. However, due to a lack of promotion, the album was not well-publicized. After another extensive tour, Behemoth signed a two-album deal with Italy's Avantgarde Music in the fall of 1998. The first result of this new collaboration was the successful album Satanica, on which the black metal sound had evolved into blackened death metal.

The label also secured two European tours for the band in support of Deicide and Satyricon respectively. During that period, Behemoth had to go through some line-up changes and had problems with their ex-Polish label. The new members then were Novy (formerly known from Devilyn, Vader and Dies Irae), who handled the bass duties, and Havok, who became the band's guitarist. After the line-up changes Behemoth signed with the Polish label Mystic. The follow-up release to Satanica was Thelema.6. Massive guitar parts and precise drumming, with influences from different sources, saw them progress further towards blackened death metal.

Thelema.6 was supported by the worldwide press and media, including official releases in Russia and Brazil for the first time. Continuing the support for Thelema.6, Behemoth appeared in several prestigious live events like Wacken Open Air, With Full Force, Inferno Metal Festival, Mystic Festival, and Mind Over Matter Autumn. They started first their headlining tour alongside with Carpathian Forest and Khold, followed by a festival tour in Poland (Thrash em All Fest. with Vader and Krisiun, among others).

Zos Kia Cultus (Here and Beyond), Demigod and The Apostasy (2001–2008)

In 2001, Behemoth focused on writing new material for a sixth studio album. Meantime, they completed their second headlining tour in Russia, Belarus and Ukraine. Having completed the recording of their new songs, Behemoth entered Hendrix Studio for the second time, with help of their friend and sound engineer Arkadiusz Malczewski, and produced Zos Kia Cultus (Here and Beyond).

In February 2003, the band started their first tour in Norway, playing in cities such as Bergen, Oslo and Stavanger. On March 11, 2003, the American premiere, scheduled by Century Media Records, headlined Behemoth's first appearance in the American continent. The tour started on the 9th of March at the New Jersey's Metalfest and continued with a decent amount of shows across America and Canada, with the company of Deicide, Revenge, Vehemence and Amon Amarth. Shortly after doing their first US tour the band was invited to join the Blackest of the Black Tour by Glenn Danzig. The already legendary festival included acts like Danzig, Superjoint Ritual, Nile, and Opeth. In the fall of 2003, Behemoth flew over to US to complete their third tour with Six Feet Under, Skinless and Black Dahlia Murder. The band then played at the Tuska Festival in Finland with Ministry, Soulfly, among others. At that time, due to some line up difficulties, Nergal parted his ways with Havok and Novy, who decided to focus on activities with their own bands. Eventually, the band resumed touring in the UK and Europe.

In 2004, their seventh studio album, Demigod was released to good critical response. Recorded at the Hendrix Studios, the album debuted at number 15 on the national Polish album charts. Music videos for the songs "Conquer All" and "Slaves Shall Serve" were also shot. In fall 2005 the band headlined the Demigod supremacy Canadian tour 2005 with Necronomicon.

In 2007, the band toured Europe alongside Napalm Death, Moonspell and Dew-Scented. Behemoth released their eighth studio album The Apostasy in July of that year. It was recorded at Radio Gdansk studio in December, 2006. Shortly after the release of The Apostasy, the band was featured as one of Ozzfest 2007's second stage headliners, one of the four non-US bands playing that year. In October/November 2007, they played their first US headlining tour alongside Job for a Cowboy, Gojira, and Beneath the Massacre. In October/November 2007 the band toured Europe alongside Canadian death metal combo Kataklysm and Belgium's Aborted.

In February 2008 Behemoth began a headlining tour along with Suicide Silence. In April/May 2008 the band toured North America as part of "The Invaluable Darkness" tour with Keep of Kalessin and headliner Dimmu Borgir. Behemoth spent the summer playing a number of prominent festivals all over Europe.

In October 2008, Behemoth released their first live album, At the Arena ov Aion – Live Apostasy. Also, an EP called Ezkaton was released featuring a re-recorded version of Chant for Eschaton 2000, one new song, two covers, and three live songs. The EP has been released in North America on November 11.

Evangelion (2009–2010)

In March 2009, the band suggested that the new album, due in the summer, would be produced by British producer Colin Richardson. Behemoth released its 9th full length album entitled "Evangelion" on August 9 via Nuclear Blast in Europe and August 11 via Metal Blade in US. Shemhamforash, a track from this album was released in July 2009 on their MySpace profile.

In July and August 2009, Behemoth participated in the Rockstar Mayhem Festival alongside a variety of metal bands such as Slayer, Bullet for My Valentine, All That Remains, Trivium, Marilyn Manson, Cannibal Corpse and Job for a Cowboy. In September 2009 Behemoth headlined the "New Evangelion" Polish tour alongside Azarath, Black River and Hermh.

In January 2010 Behemoth toured North America during "Evangelia Amerika Tour". In March they toured Europe with shows in Scandinavia, Greece and Turkey. In April Behemoth toured Japan, Australia and New Zealand. In May they started European "Evangelion Summer Campaign 2010" with shows on open-air festivals in Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Denmark and Poland. In June and July they toured France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Turkey, Serbia and Croatia with Decapitated and Ex Deo. In July and August they performed on next open-air festivals, in Czech Republic and Poland.

Nergal's illness, recovery and ninth studio album (2010–present)

In August 2010 Nergal was rushed to a hospital and was diagnosed with leukemia. It was reported that his leukemia was so advanced that chemotherapy couldn't help him, however, this has now been proven false. Doda, his girlfriend at that time, offered her bone marrow for a transplant but tests showed she wasn't a match. A donor has since been found. Behemoth have been forced to cancel all upcoming shows in August including Sonisphere Festival in Finland, concerts in Russia, Belarus and Baltic States in September and October, and their North American tour "Lawless States of Heretika" with Watain, Withered and Black Anvil in November and December.

Behemoth's live DVD "Evangelia Heretika" was released on November 9, 2010. The DVD package includes two DVDs featuring Live in Warsaw 2009, Live in Paris 2008, Documentaries, Bonus Material and an Audio CD.

On January 17th, 2011, Nergal left the hematology division of Uniwersyteckie Centrum Kliniczne, four weeks after he underwent a bone marrow transplant procedure. He says that he will now take several months of recovery while living in his flat in one of the Gdansk’s districts, in order to restore his physical condition. He also announces that he is eager to resume playing the guitar again having been six months since he last played. He also says that he has a huge motivation and desire to continue his work with the band, thanking all people who helped him.

According to Nergal, a new album and tour for 2012 are both in the works.
