Biography :
Give Me A Chance(GMAC) is a band that had beginnings like any other band. No one could have guessed that a few guys and a former roadie from Malang would start a band as a one-song side project and it would turn into a band like it is now. They took humble roots and worked their way to add their chapter to the long history of Malang City Hardcore(MCHC) and they would define the term “oldschool hardcore” wiith some beats of beatdown that would become so common years later. Since the early 2006's the band had changed its formations and began a solid member since late 2008 with a big sign of East Coast Empire in their underground scene. It’s hard to argue that bands a decade later would take the oldschool hardcore groundwork laid by GMAC to wider audiences. It's now 2010 and GMAC is still here, frontman Arbisama, as its bassist had worked so hard for years keeping this band on stages, recruiting new men and to be like what it is right now. Dealing hard with rough people in this underground scene in Malang had made GMAC proved everything needed to make this band as a Hardcore band. Hardcore and punk as concepts have been diluted, confused and hyphenated to the point where it’s a marketing term. The re-emergence of GMAC hits with their play in Metal vs. Hardcore in the late 2008's. Only a few solitary chords before the crashing of a fast, raw and punk/hardcore, complete with classic sing-alongs and a perfect breakdown. The title track is next and while it’s only a minute and a half blast, “Beware of Danger” sums up GMAC’s manifesto for this release: the band is back and while their history speaks for itself, they’re not resting on any laurels, the band shows they haven’t forgotten where they came from. As the album progresses, GMAC reminds the listener that their penchant for infectious anthems and choruses has not dissipated one bit.

Never feared for anything
Never shamed but never free
A light that healed a broken heart with all that it could
Lived a life so endlessly
Saw beyond what others see
I tried to heal your broken heart with all that I could
Will you stay?
Will you stay away forever?
How do I live without the ones I love?
Time still turns the pages of the book it's burned
Place and time always on my mind
I have so much to say but you're so far away
Plans of what our futures hold
Foolish lies of growing old
It seems we're so invincible
The truth is so cold
A final song, a last request
A perfect chapter laid to rest
Now and then I try to find a place in my mind
Where you can stay
You can stay awake forever
How do I live without the ones I love?
Time still turns the pages of the book it's burned
Place and time always on my mind
I have so much to say but you're so far away
Sleep tight, I'm not afraid
The ones that we love are here with me
Lay away a place for me
Cause as soon as I'm done I'll be on my way
To live eternally
How do I live without the ones I love?
Time still turns the pages of the book it's burned
Place and time always on my mind
And the light you left remains but it's so hard to stay
When I have so much to say and you're so far away
I love you, you were ready
The pain is strong enough despite
But I'll see you when He lets me
Your pain is gone, your hands are tied
So far away
And I need you to know
So far away
And I need you to, need you to know...

Biography :
Relapse Records is proud to bring you the new release from death metal legends SUFFOCATION, entitled Souls To Deny. SUFFOCATION, (Frank Mullen - vocals, Terrance Hobbs - guitar, Guy Marchais - guitar, Derek Boyer - bass, Mike Smith - drums) one of the most influential and emulated bands in the history of extreme music and the pioneers of the now-infamous 'New York death metal sound', return to the Relapse label after releasing the now classic albums Effigy Of The Forgotten (1991), Breeding The Spawn (1993), and Pierced From Within (1995) via Roadrunner Records.
After forming in 1990, SUFFOCATION quickly released their 3-song debut Reincremation. Within weeks of its existence came the interest of many labels who wanted to claim stake to the next SUFFOCATION album.
The now classic, Effigy of the Forgotten was released in 1991 via Roadrunner Records. Effigy... took the rhythmic relentlessness of hardcore beats, put them into speed metal structures and overlaid off-time counterpoint structures. Effigy of the Forgotten took SUFFOCATION's intent to a new plane, taking the multiple languages of music and unifying them in an evocative, thundering chorus of death metal.
Bassist, Josh Barohn was replaced by Chris Richards for the following album, 1993's Breeding The Spawn. Thunderously heavy and rigorously artistic, Breeding The Spawn surpassed expectations. Highly rhythmic, Suffocation's second album built on the legacy of their first with more emphasis on the bearing weight of repeated changing / off time rhythms (see later day practitioners MESHUGGAH) and a SLAYER-derived sense of melody. The guttural vocal expansion of vocalist Frank Mullen perfectly complimented the creative lead work from Cerritos and Hobbs. After the release of Breeding..., SUFFOCATION hit the road for months on end in support of the release, bringing their jaw-dropping live performances to both their devoted legions of followers, and hordes of wide-eyed new devotees.
In 1994, drummer Mike Smith left Suffocation and was replaced by drummer Doug Bohn. This new line-up featured on the 1994 live album, Live Death.
Following the release of 1995's Pierced From Within, SUFFOCATION embarked on successful tours of Europe, Canada, Mexico, and the United States, playing to thousands and enjoying increased album sales. After these tours, drummer Doug Bohn was replaced by former Malevolent Creation drummer Dave Culross.
In 1998, Suffocation once again hooked up with legendary producer / engineer Scott Burns for the recording of the EP, Despise the Sun. Released on micro-indie Vulture Records, Despise the Sun contained SUFFOCATION's most accomplished material to date, the band comfortable enough in their style to develop it to a muscular prime. A savage example of pounding death metal, Despise the Sun utilized contrapuntal structures in recursive patterns to produce its effect - engaging, energetic and insightful death metal with no letup in intensity.
In early 2002, rumors of a SUFFOCATION 'reunion' began to surface and the death metal world was immediately abuzz with the possibility. SUFFOCATION confirmed their intentions soon afterwards and with a line-up of Mike Smith (drums), Terrance Hobbs (guitar), Guy Marchais (guitar), Frank Mullen (vocals), and Derek Boyer (bass), the band resumed writing and rehearsals and announced that they were back to stay and ready to deliver once again.
Immediately upon the announcement, SUFFOCATION headlined the sold-out 2003 installments of the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival, Maryland Deathfest and Milwaukee Metalfest(s) to a rousing response. In June, 2003, the band unveiled a brand new song entitled "Deceit".
SUFFOCATION return with Souls to Deny, their first full length album in nearly a decade and first full length album for Relapse Records. Masterfully controlled yet frighteningly intense, Souls to Deny is a truly devastating display of technical death metal. Maniacally complex lead and rhythm guitar acrobatics intermix with dizzyingly proficient drum work, creating complex, savage riff collages. Containing the songs "Deceit", "To Weep Once More" , "Souls to Deny", "Surgery of Impalement", "Demise of the Clone", "Subconsciously Enslaved", "Immortally Condemned" and "Tomes of Atrimony", Souls to Deny is set for a late April, 2004 release date. Crushing brutality from the masters!!

Biography :
In two short years time NILE has established itself as a potent musical entity so vital and massive that they live up to the stature of the river from which they take their name. With just one record, a few EP's and one world tour under their belt, NILE has raised the bar for death metal bands musically, lyrically and conceptually. Couple this with their precedent-setting live performances, and you have one of the genre's brightest hopes for the new millennium. Now, with Black Seeds of Vengeance, NILE stand poised to cement their place in the pantheon of metal's elite.
Formed in 1993 by Karl Sanders (guitar/vocals), Chief Spires (bass/vocals), and Pete Hammoura (drums), NILE wasted little time combining their interest in Egyptian history, culture and lore with the ferocity of modern death metal and a symphonic approach to songwriting and arrangement. They hammered out a balanced attack that fused unique, technical death metal with Middle Eastern tones and a lyrical approach inspired by Sanders' interpretation of ancient Egyptian inscriptions, temple carvings, papyri, hieroglyphics and tomb paintings depicting ancient battles, rituals and religious ceremonies. Each following year brought a new recording, each of which marked a large step forward in their musical evolution, and enabled NILE to further entrench themselves in an underground that received them with open arms. Things really began to gel in 1996 when, after recording and shopping three new songs, they landed a deal with upstart label Visceral Productions and began recording their debut full-length in addition to dding second guitarist Dallas Toler-Wade.
However, the deal would not last as Visceral folded in late 1997. Relapse Records swiftly stepped into the picture and, after hearing the record and witnessing the band's live show, a deal was struck and the two prepared for the release of NILE's debut full-length Amongst the Catacombs of Nephren-Ka.
Amongst The Catacombs of Nephren-Ka was a monumental testimony of power that took the metal world by storm. Vicious guitar riffs lashed out among tremendous drum blasts, frenzied guitar solos and a powerful three-vocalist onslaught. The savage attack was adorned with exotic instrumentation and symphonic Middle Eastern passages and chants to form an all-out assault of the likes not heard before. Amongst... was an adventurous and awesome piece of work and praise for their accomplishment was quick to follow.
NILE commenced a grueling eighteen-month world tour shortly upon the records release: one that would see them crisscross the states numerous times before being invited to accompany Morbid Angel on their world tour. The band, excited by the prospect of reaching new people, seeing new places and simply playing their music, unleashed an incredible live show on an unsuspecting public. So driven by passion and hell bent to deliver on Sanders' promise to "play every single note as if it were going to be our last [and] give every bit of strength we have within us every time we play," NILE converted thousands of new fans to their distinctive sound with what has become one of the most celebrated live performances the metal world has seen in years. By the time the tour ended with their jaw-dropping European debut at Dynamo '99 and subsequent European Tour, NILE were already being touted as one of metal 's most ambitious and fastest rising stars.
Upon their return home in August '99, Sanders and co. began work assembling and arranging the pieces and ideas that had been brewing since '97 (when the band completed recording Nephren-Ka). Encouraged by the enthusiastic worldwide reception that the band's exploration of Egyptian and Middle Eastern culture and exotic sounds received, and driven by the need, in Sanders' words "...to create a massive record, a kind of masterpiece," they began laying the groundwork for an epic sophomore effort.
The writing didn't come easy. So ambitious and lofty were their ideas that it became an obsession that took up all their waking moments. Sanders spent every night composing, arranging, re-arranging and piecing together all the movements like a symphony orchestra. The lyrics alone took him almost a year as he sought to integrate them seamlessly with the music "making the combination of both form one unified piece, with each serving the other and working together to achieve the same thing." The wildly technical composition Multitude of Foes also took Toler-Wade a year to work out.
The band entered their second home--Columbia, SC's Soundlab Studios-once again in May with longtime producer Bob Moore to attempt to capture its most sprawling, ambitious work to date. Black Seeds of Vengeance not only sidesteps the dreaded sophomore slump, but it realizes the fruits of their intense and arduous songwriting labors and places them in the upper echelon of metal rank and file.
Black Seeds of Vengeance is a relentless, scathing death metal assault that builds off the energy and atmosphere of Amongst... and presents NILE's sound and fury in a slightly streamlined, yet even more epic and colorful light. Violent passages of hyper-grinding fury explode from ominous, deathly tranquility as the words and music paint vivid tales of battle, conquest, domination, subjugation, war and religious ritual. Intricate symphonic passages comprised of African choirs and such diverse instrumentation as tablas, tempuras, sitars, gongs, kettle drums, Tibetan Doom horns and acoustic guitars wind their way through the muscular compositions, giving the songs an almost cinematic feel.
Arguably the perfect combination of the old and new school of metal, NILE blends ferocious power and astounding technical prowess with mesmerizing dynamics and resounding songs, offering conclusive proof that there is life in death metal yet. On their long-awaited new full-length In Their Darkened Shrines, NILE has taken their synthesis of astute songwriting and invention to dizzying new heights. In Their Darkened Shrines fuses the band's trademark Middle Eastern trappings, grandiose symphonic bent, speed and intensity with its most epic, ambitious work to date. Volatile passages burst into beautiful regal arrangements and weighty riffs segue into majestic acoustic passages as the record embodies burning rage, triumph and every emotion in between. In Their Darkened Shrines is, unquestionably, a tour-de-force and with it NILE have built the genre of metal a new cornerstone.
With NILE's In Their Darkened Shrines scheduled for release in August, 2002, and with months of rehearsal under their belt, the NILE touring machine is set to embark upon another staggering worldwide offensive.

Biography :
In 1992- Bryan Ugartechea, Tony Freithoffer and Ricky Myers started what was to become one of California's most brutal death grind bands! In 1992 they released their first demo "Cognitive lust of Mutilation". Shortly after, Disgorge relocated to San Diego California to establish their name in the underground scene. During the move the band parted ways with bassist/vocalist Bryan Ugartechea. Immediately, new members Matti Way-vocals and Eric Flesy-bass filled Brian's position. The band quickly wrote new material for their second demo "95 demo", which was distributed worldwide and received great reviews. Disgorge played many shows throughout 1995 to broaden their fan base. In 1996 Disgorge recorded the first four tracks of "Cranial Impalement" (CD released by Extremities Prod.) which wasn't released until recently. In 1997 Tony Freithoffer and Eric Flesy left the band to pursue other things. Ricky and Matti began looking for new members, which weren't found until late 1998. Diego Sanchez-guitar and Ben Marlin-bass of Strangulation (a local death metal band) decided to join Disgorge then signing with Unique Leader Entertainment, shortly after they released their full-length album entitled 'She Lay Gutted' in November of ‘99. Since the release of She lay Gutted Disgorge has toured worldwide in Europe, North America and South America. Disgorge has recently recorded their third album entitled"Consume the Forsaken" which is distributed worldwide. Disgorge has always set out to play the most extreme music possible and on all three albums they have stayed true to their ways. On their fourth album entitled "Parallels of Infinite Torture" featuring new front man Levi Fuselier they will push their limits even farther.

Biography :
27 years of grindcore ultra-violence, 27 years of being one of the hardest working, hardest touring bands on this miserable planet, NAPALM DEATH’s conviction, energy and belief in spontaneoust, outspoken yet extreme music is far from being watered down. “Time Waits For No Slave”, the band’s 13th studio album (excluding the cover album “Leaders Not Followers Pt.2”) marks no exception – as long as this is a world gone wrong, NAPALM DEATH will be utilizing their artistic arsenal to attack those in charge, no matter if their fanaticism stems from a political, religious or simply greedy motivation.
On “Time Waits For No Slave” the legendary fathers of grindcore explore fundamental aspects of our so-called modern life and point out that ideas of servitude are still existent in the allegedly tolerant, liberal society we live in. Despite the old cliché that “we are living in the 21st century” for one thing, women are still sneered at, treated like second-class citizens and viewed in some quarters as baby machines rather than beings in their own right. Giving up our own ideals, wishes and desires to fit into the all too tight conventions still prevalent today might be a very general sounding subject, but the question is: if our freedom is true to the meaning of the word, this is something that affects us all!
Once again, NAPALM DEATH’s concerns are realised through intense, devastatingly brutal songs that venture into groovier, neckbreaking mid-tempo passages to allow the listener to take a breath before vicious blast beats pummel you out of existence. The new material was arranged in intensive rehearsals in a trusty old lock-up room at Robannas rehearsal studio in Birmingham. Soon after, the band roared into the studio. The new effort was engineered and recorded by Russ Russell and produced by Russ Russell and Napalm Death at Foel Studios, Llanfair Caereinon, Wales. Further recording, overall production and album mixing / mastering was finally hammered out at Parlour Studios, Kettering, Northamptonshire, England. A special treat is included on the limited edition of the album as the bonus track “Omnipresent Knife In Your Back” sees bassist Embury also handling the guitars, Mitch Harris switching from guitars to drums and drummer Danny Herrera on bass.
While NAPALM DEATH is a prominent example on how to put words into action and has taken part in several benefit-based activities in the past, vocalist Mark “Barney” Greenway is also engaged in fighting for musicians’ rights through the Musician’s Union (a UK-based trade union) and strives for fairness for music followers via the same organisation. Renowned for their ceaseless touring activities and stellar live performances, following the album’s release NAPALM DEATH will be promoting “Time Waits For No Slave” live worldwide - remaining at the helm of today’s extreme music scene and humbly yet ferociously solidifying their legendary status once again!

Biography :
In September 1990 Fred (bass player) was moving to a city in the North East of France called Strasbourg. Arriving there he wanted to put up a death metal band so he searched and found a vocalist : Olivier. This one called a friend of him David (guitar) and they fast found a drummer called Stephane. INHUMATE was born.
This line up stayed stable for about one year, after that Stephane and Olivier left the band and were replaced by Valentin and Sebastien. Those new members were totally dedicated to the grind core scene, INHUMATE became to play faster and from death metal jumped into the death grind scene. With this line up INHUMATE recorded in 1993 its first demo Abstract Suffering (4 tracks).
In 1994 drummer and vocalist left the band again and in October 1994 INHUMATE had a very strong line up (the same for the 12 years to come) with the arrival of Christophe on vocals and Yannick on drums.
This time INHUMATE jumped from the death grind scene to the grind death scene, playing faster and slowly understanding that sickness was law !!! In May 1995 the second demo was recorded Grind Your Soul (7 tracks).
1996 - 2006 : START OF SERIOUS THINGS...
In September 1996 was recorded the first full length CD Internal Life (18 tracks), in November 1997 was recorded the second full length album Ex-Pulsion (13 + 1 tracks), in June 2000 was recorded the third full length album Growth (17 tracks). In February 2004 INHUMATE has unleashed its fourth album Life.
October 2006 : after 16 years playing and composing for INHUMATE David leaves the band... November 2006 : Damien is our new guitar player ! INHUMATE underground story goes on !
2007 - ... : A NEW BREATH OF SICKNESS...
Beginning of 2007 was the moment for INHUMATE to unleash a brutal as fuck live DVD At war with...INHUMATE to show the world what was INHUMATE live sickness before Damien's arrival ! April 2009 INHUMATE releases its 5th album : The Fifth Season (18 + 1 tracks)
During its life, INHUMATE played (in France, Belgium, Holland, Switzerland, Poland, Germany, Italy, Austria, UK, Russia and Czech Republic) with bands like AGATHOCLES, CANNIBAL CORPSE, CRYPTOPSY, IMMOLATION, SEPULTURA, MALIGNANT TUMOUR, NILE, SIX FEET UNDER, UNHOLY GRAVE, VADER, etc... but also dozens of great underground bands !!!
INHUMATE has always, been, is and will always be an independent band !!! 100% UNDERGROUND !!! 100% SELF PRODUCED....!!!!
From CD to CD INHUMATE builds a wide concept based on Life and Abolition of Time. If Internal Life was representing the life before life, Ex-Pulsion the moment of birth, Growth the personnality structuring years and Life the acme of life, The Fifth Season symbolises time of wisdom, serenity and knowledge. Will follow Expulsed, time to die, and Eternal Life, time when the listener will just have to listen to the complete heptalogy again. The INHUMATE entity will be eternal then...

Biography :
Maruta was concieved in october 2005. After being in several south floridian grindcore and metal acts, founding member Mitchell Luna and Nick Augusto had the intentions of starting an abrasive grind/powerviolence band. Maruta managed to pump out half a dozen songs, and immediatey began playing shows up and down the long desolate state of Florida.
A 4 song demo was released shortly thereafter. Less than a year into the bands existence, the band teamed up with guitar player Eduardo Borja, who helped incorporate more dissonant and technical elements to the band's sound, and their approach to grindcore. Maruta did several DIY tours in 2006 and 2007, playing the foulest piss drenched basements, and the seediest bars North America has to offer. Needless to say, the boys had a good time and made some good friends.
In 2008, Maruta embarked on a full U.S. tour with Phobia, Impaled, Malignancy,Kill the client, and Illogicist. They also participated in the Relapse records "This comp kills facists" release with 2 exclusive songs. The band's first full length finally surfaced after many technical difficulties, and long inebriated angry nights in the studio. " IN NARCOSIS" was released October of 2008 via the infamous forward thinking metal label, Willowtip.
As far as 2009 goes: Maruta has so far toured in the U.S. midwest and east-coast alongside Rotten sound, Crowpath, and Misery Index (select dates) to coincide with their performance at Maryland Death Fest 7. The group is currently hard at work on a new record that is slated for an early 2010 release through Willowtip. Plenty more touring to follow.
Maruta is basically 4 humble individuals simply doing what they love to do best: playing some fucking grind. "We live it. We breathe it".
